Minimum Requirements 1. CA (SA).
\n2. Minimum 4-5 years external audit experience within Financial Services Sector, specializing in Treasury and Banking.
\n3.Preferable 2-3 years post articles experience.
\n4.Knowledge and application of IFRS (including IAS 39, IFRS 7, IFRS 9, etc), Tax, applicable Legislation and Companies Act.
\n5. Knowledge and working application of hedge accounting and financial instruments valuation,

\nDuties & Responsibilities Specific outcomes includes but not limited to the following:
\n1. Audit
\n\u2022Plan the audit in advance of commencement of fieldwork. This includes:
\ni)Understanding the business.
\nii)Predetermining audit scope and risk.
\niii)Setting the budget.
\niv)Directing the audit approach.
\nv)Completing the audit planning memorandum.
\nvi)Review planning.
\n\u2022For the portfolio of client\u2019s allocated review, discuss and agree on planning on the assignment with the audit team, engagement partner and clients.
\n\u2022Overall responsibility for a portfolio of clients.
\n\u2022 Delegation of responsibilities.
\n\u2022Monitor progress and performance of team on the audit.
\n\u2022Review results of audit tests and procedures and conclusions drawn by other members of the team.
\n\u2022Review all system notes, internal control evaluations and audit programs.
\n\u2022Review draft financial statements.
\n\u2022Review draft management report.
\n\u2022Draft all report items in a suitable management letter report format for review by the engagement partner.
\n\u2022Draft annual financial statements.
\n\u2022Ensure prompt reporting and that all deadlines are being achieved.
\n\u2022Review the allocation of audits to members of staff ensuring that they understand their duties.
\n\u2022Review composition of audit teams.
\n\u2022Work with liaison directors in planning the overall strategy and organisation of the audit group.
\n\u2022Keep engagement director informed of the progress of the audit and any developments that may affect deadlines, accounting policies and the audit opinion.
\n\u2022Discuss any unresolved problems encountered on the assignment with the engagement partner.
\n\u2022Resolve problems encountered on the assignment.
\n\u2022Maintain and develop relationship with the client.<\/p>\n
2. Staff development
\n\u2022Complete the relevant sections of the PR\u2019s for all team members and discuss reports with them.
\n\u2022Complete manager\u2019s performance evaluation and discuss with the engagement partner.
\n\u2022Mentoring of staff.
\n\u2022To be evaluators and appraisers on LTS.
\n\u2022Provide on the job training for junior staff.<\/p>\n
3. Financial
\n\u2022Identify client needs requiring additional services and bring these to the attention of the engagement director.
\n\u2022Billing and collection of invoices with respect to your portfolio.
\n\u2022Manage client budgets, write \u2013 offs and overruns and disbursements.
\n\u2022Identify new business \u2013 proposals, tenders and additional business form existing or new clients.
\n\u2022Ensure at least 70% productivity for the year.
\n\u2022Creating and monitoring of projects on the firms billing system.
\n\u2022Completion of personal timesheets on a weekly basis.
\n\u2022Approval of time and release to work in progress.
\n4. Ad – hoc
\n\u2022Review and approve all leave applications of your mentees.
\n\u2022Assist with marketing projects e.g. graduate recruitment, other marketing initiatives
\n\u2022Be involved in firm operational activities (e.g. Revenue Forecasting, Cash collections, etc.)<\/p>\n
