The minimum requirements:<\/strong> 3. Post Title: Security Officer: (Appointment will be made in terms of the Public Service <\/strong> Additional requirements: CORE FUNCTIONS: 4. Post Title: General Worker: (Appointment will be made in terms of the Public <\/strong> SECTION: Corporate Support (1 Post) COMPONENT: Internal Audit (1 Post) COMPONENT: Organizational Development (1 Post) Additional requirements: CORE FUNCTIONS:
\nApplicants must display competency in the post-specific core functions.*Be fluent in
\nat least two of the official languages, of which one must be English. *Be a South
\nAfrican Citizen *Must have no criminal record or pending criminal \/ departmental or
\ncivil cases.* Applicants will be subject to a vetting process which will include
\nsecurity and fingerprint verification *Be able to render at least ten (10) years of
\npensionable service *Two (2) years appropriate \/ relevant experience in the core
\nfunctions of the post will be an advantage.<\/p>\n

\nBe in possession of a Senior Certificate or at least an applicable completed SAQA
\naccredited NQF 4 qualification*Registration with the Private Security Industry
\nRegulatory Authority(PSIRA)*Be in possession of at least a Grade E security
\ncertificate, however, preference will be given to applicants in possession of a Grade D
\nor higher certificate*Driver\u2019s licence for a light motor vehicle will serve as an
\nadvantage*Not declared unfit to possess a fire-arm*Be willing to work shifts and
\nextended hours.<\/p>\n
\n*Execute control admission by positive identification of officers \/ employees, visitors
\nand maintenance personnel before they are allowed to enter the premises*issue
\nadmission control cards to visitors and receive them back*Keep the necessary visitor\u2019s
\nregister*Check supplies, articles and objects, where necessary, before they are
\nallowed to be brought into the premises to ensure that the safety of the premises will
\nnot be threatened*Control the admission of vehicles in fenced-off areas*Patrol
\nbuildings and fenced-off areas*Guard vehicles, workshops and equipment in the
\nfield*Supervise cleaners and maintenance personnel \u2013 ONLY from a security point of
\nview*Check all security equipment and facilities and take action, when
\nnecessary*Bring any deficiencies or problems with regard to security matters to the
\nattention of senior security personnel*Render assistance to security offices in the
\nperformance of duties.<\/p>\n

\nof the SAPS premises assigned to, which may include either or both inner and outer
\nparameters*Performing tasks of a routine nature, such as dust working the
\nenvironment*Polish furniture and floors*Vacuum carpets and mopping of tile
\nfloors*Remove refuse*Perform maintenance tasks in and around the assigned
\npremises*Clean bathrooms and kitchens*Safekeeping and handling of a variety of
\nAids in the cleaning of the premises*Loading and unloading of goods*Garden
\nmaintenance services*Washing and cleaning of state vehicles.<\/p>\n
