The generic minimum requirements applicable to the posts, except<br \/>\nwhere it is specified differently, are as follows<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The minimum requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nApplicants must display competency in the post-specific core functions.*Be fluent in<br \/>\nat least two of the official languages, of which one must be English. *Be a South<br \/>\nAfrican Citizen *Must have no criminal record or pending criminal \/ departmental or<br \/>\ncivil cases.* Applicants will be subject to a vetting process which will include<br \/>\nsecurity and fingerprint verification *Be able to render at least ten (10) years of<br \/>\npensionable service *Two (2) years appropriate \/ relevant experience in the core<br \/>\nfunctions of the post will be an advantage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Post Title: Security Officer: (Appointment will be made in terms of the Public Service <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Act, 1994 (Act no 103 of 1994))<\/strong><br \/>\nLevel of remuneration: Level 3 = R81 312 per annum is applicable to the post.<br \/>\nCOMPONENT: Corporate Communication (8 Posts)<br \/>\nSITE: LA Rochelle, Centurion, Pretoria<br \/>\nREF: 1\/11\/2013<\/p>\n<p>Additional requirements:<br \/>\nBe in possession of a Senior Certificate or at least an applicable completed SAQA<br \/>\naccredited NQF 4 qualification*Registration with the Private Security Industry<br \/>\nRegulatory Authority(PSIRA)*Be in possession of at least a Grade E security<br \/>\ncertificate, however, preference will be given to applicants in possession of a Grade D<br \/>\nor higher certificate*Driver\u2019s licence for a light motor vehicle will serve as an<br \/>\nadvantage*Not declared unfit to possess a fire-arm*Be willing to work shifts and<br \/>\nextended hours.<\/p>\n<p>CORE FUNCTIONS:<br \/>\n*Execute control admission by positive identification of officers \/ employees, visitors<br \/>\nand maintenance personnel before they are allowed to enter the premises*issue<br \/>\nadmission control cards to visitors and receive them back*Keep the necessary visitor\u2019s<br \/>\nregister*Check supplies, articles and objects, where necessary, before they are<br \/>\nallowed to be brought into the premises to ensure that the safety of the premises will<br \/>\nnot be threatened*Control the admission of vehicles in fenced-off areas*Patrol<br \/>\nbuildings and fenced-off areas*Guard vehicles, workshops and equipment in the<br \/>\nfield*Supervise cleaners and maintenance personnel \u2013 ONLY from a security point of<br \/>\nview*Check all security equipment and facilities and take action, when<br \/>\nnecessary*Bring any deficiencies or problems with regard to security matters to the<br \/>\nattention of senior security personnel*Render assistance to security offices in the<br \/>\nperformance of duties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
