It is a definition of what the enterprise must produce to satisfy its customers and compete in a market. Business Architect describes the business strategy, models, processes, services and organizational structure and provides the foundation upon which business architecture roles and partially other enterprise architecture roles base their decisions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities \/ Outputs <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand business strategy and perform business strategy impact analysis on enterprise business blueprint<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with business stakeholders and understand their vision and needs in each of the divisions<\/li>\n<li>Derive business direction by combining top-down and bottom-up needs analysis<\/li>\n<li>Developing the baseline and target architectures using the following deliverables:<\/li>\n<li>Defining business process from conceptual to physical level<\/li>\n<li>Document the organization structure, identifying business locations and relating them to organizational units<\/li>\n<li>Identify and define business functions This is a detailed, recursive step involving successive decomposition of major functional areas into sub-functions<\/li>\n<li>Define the services that each enterprise unit provides to its customers, both internally and externally<\/li>\n<li>Perform gap analysis and identify the initiatives between the current and future state<\/li>\n<li>Develop the guidance necessary to flexibly evolve and optimize the business dimensions (people, process, technology) to achieve the enterprise change<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with business analysts and bridging the gap between project specific requirements and models and the enterprise requirements and models ensuring alignment to the target architecture<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with Business Integration Managers and business analysts in developing the business models for the target and project initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Partnering with IT and business leaders, communicate and provide leadership and direction with respect to how the enterprise architecture supports the business strategies<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with business analysts and bridging the gap between project specific requirements and models and the enterprise requirements and models ensuring alignment to the target architecture<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with Business Integration Managers and business analysts in developing the business models for the target and project initiatives with the business architects<\/li>\n<li>Partnering with IT and business leaders, communicate and provide leadership and direction with respect to how the enterprise architecture supports the business strategies<\/li>\n<li>Foster a broad understanding of technologies relevant to JSE business strategies<\/li>\n<li>Understand in detail the relationships between products\/services and the architecture of them<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with the infrastructure areas of IT to: Develop business focused requirements for the technical architecture, evaluate alternative technologies and recommend appropriate solutions that fit the enterprise architecture<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate to establish and communicate processes for updating the enterprise architecture (e.g. adding and eliminating technologies, applications, data stores, etc) and for handling exceptions to the architecture<\/li>\n<li>Developing the clear traceability of the architectural decisions to the elements of the business strategy<\/li>\n<li>Keep current with and report on industry trends including architecture modelling, domain blueprints, frameworks, emerging technologies, best practices, etc Anticipate enterprise-wide technological opportunities, evaluate market trends and recommend corporate technical direction<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with business stakeholders and get their buy-in on the rationale behind recommendations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years experience in technology research methodologies<\/li>\n<li>Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant discipline from an accredited school is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding and insight across all aspects of IT with in-depth knowledge and experience in at least one of the disciplines<\/li>\n<li>Must demonstrate strategic thinking and insight<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial experience with emphasis on budgeting, ROI and Total Cost of Ownership<\/li>\n<li>Senior business analysis experience with a strong foundation in process mapping\/engineering<\/li>\n<li>Thorough understanding to architecture framework like TOGAF or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Process Modelling experience using a global standard like ARIS or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Solid understanding and insight across all aspects of IT with in-depth knowledge and experience in at least one of the disciplines<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial experience with emphasis on budgeting, ROI and Total Cost of Ownership<\/li>\n<li>Solid experience working in a multi-disciplinary team, fostering collaboration and teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Experience in investment banking or financial services preferred<\/li>\n<li>Solid experience in interacting with internal and external customers with demonstrated customer service orientation<\/li>\n<li>Expert experience with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working with an enterprise architecture tool will be preferable<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the JSE will be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to think in terms of business outcomes \/ results<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to remain calm and focused under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Must be customer-focused and excel in coordination of problem resolution<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, external business partners and vendors<\/li>\n<li>Must work well under pressure and changing priorities<\/li>\n<li>Results-oriented with emphasis on expansion and application of business and technical
