We mine one of the largest manganese resources in the world.\u00a0 We offer a unique lifestyle choice with a family-friendly, secure environment and value our employees as our greatest asset.<\/p>\n<p><b>Role Description:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To supervise the safe and efficient execution of processing activities at the ore preparation plant and Loadout Station.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12<\/li>\n<li>Ore Preparation Certificate will be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>3 &#8211; 5 years experience in a supervisory position in a processing plant.<\/li>\n<li>Ore Preparation Plant (OPP) experience will be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>SAP HR and PM knowledge is required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Legal Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Must be in possession of a drivers licence.<\/p>\n<p><b>Legal Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Must be medically fit.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Key Performance Areas:<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Operations Management:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor daily achievement of targets and take corrective action in the event of targets not reached (OPP &amp; Loadout)<\/li>\n<li>Provide effective problem solving support to the operation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Supervision:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan, organise, lead and control activities in the production process<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and control the production process and co-ordinate process operations<\/li>\n<li>Monitor production process activities, trends and brief operators accordingly at the start of each shift<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that plant throughput is consistently optimised through all sections during all shifts<\/li>\n<li>Guide and instruct the team with regards to significant deviations in operations which may influence production or safety<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Water Management:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor water management program (Process Water)<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the pumping of water in the dams and sumps<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Weekly and Daily Planning:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the execution of the Weekly &amp; Daily Production Plans (Plan Compliance) and report reasons for deviation in the Weekly planning report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Product Quality Control:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review analytical results and make process adjustments<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate road haulage and stock piling to achieve required product specifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Processing Plant:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the crushing and screening operation in the metallurgical plant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Services:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain housekeeping standards in the plant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Maintenance:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain vibrating screen decks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><b>Project Management:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the project environment and activities to deliver project objectives<\/li>\n<li>Identify, suggest and implement corrective actions to improve quality of project work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Skills Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be required to possess the following skills\/ competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Results focused<\/li>\n<li>Action Orientation.<\/li>\n<li>Building and Maintaining Relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Organizing and Delivering Quality Results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div id=\"openingDateLabel\"><a href=\"http:\/\/jobs.bhpbilliton.com\/jobDetails.asp?sJobIDs=763868&amp;lCategoryID=&amp;lBrandID=&amp;lWorkTypeID=&amp;lLocationID=5472%2C+5471%2C+3225%2C+3227%2C+3226%2C+3228&amp;stp=AW&amp;sLanguage=en\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/div>\n<div><label>Closing date:\u00a0<\/label><label>6 Dec 2013 5:00pm South Africa Standard Time<\/label><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hotazel\u00a0Manganese Mines (HMM),\u00a0is based in the Kalahari.
