Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based at Head Office SA Techno Park, Stellenbosch. This position reports to the Sourcing Manager.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas for this position would include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Preparation of specifications as obtained from customer indicated needs, obtaining competitive quotations and providing appropriate recommendations that will meet the customer needs.
\n\u2022 Recommendation of the most appropriate cost alternatives to customers.
\n\u2022 Ensuring purchasing is in accordance with sound purchasing principles.
\n\u2022 Placing\/managing purchase orders effectively.
\n\u2022 Ensuring appropriate service levels are maintained through supplier KPI management and reviews.
\n\u2022 Ensuring implementation and maintenance of records, policies and systems.
\n\u2022 Maintaining sound relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
\n\u2022 Preparing and running non-complex low value tenders.
\n\u2022 Maintaining an always current catalogue pricing.
\n\u2022 Ensuring contracts and\/or contract database is always current and up to date.
\n\u2022 Manage, inspire and motivates purchasing team.
\n\u2022 Maintaining key market trend information as identified by Sourcing Manager.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate must preferably have the following Experience \/ Skills:<\/p>\n
\u2022 B.Com\/B.Tech: Logistics, Supply, Procurement \/ Finance and or equivalent tertiary qualification,
\n\u2022 2 \u2013 3 years relevant experience in a Marketing Procurement environment.
\n\u2022 Energetic, enthusiastic and able to enjoy a fast paced working environment.
\n\u2022 Excellent communication and negotiating skills. (Sound in effective decision making ability).
\n\u2022 Must be able to deal comfortably and confidently with suppliers as well as internal customers.
\n\u2022 Proven computer literacy in SAP & MS Office Packages.
\n\u2022 Advance Excel skills including \u2018pivot tables\u2019 and \u2018what if\u2019 scenarios.
\n\u2022 Be able to work independently and cope under pressure.
\n\u2022 Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential.<\/p>\n
