Job Purpose: <\/strong><\/p>\n To provide advice and analysis on public sector policy and personnel establishments, perform forecasting <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Requirements: <\/strong><\/p>\n Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Social Sciences, or Public Administration. \ngiven to people with training in Economics and Econometrics at an Honours Degree Level. \u2022 4 – 6 years relevant
\nworking experience in a Public Sector environment \u2022 Knowledge of the Government Remuneration Policy and
\nService Delivery Improvement Policies of key sectors in the public sector \u2022 Knowledge of the PSCBC processes \u2022
\nKnowledge of the Public Sector personnel establishments and employment trends \u2022 Experience or training in building
\nfinancial models and\/or econometric modelling
\n <\/p>\n
\npersonnel establishment \u2022 Analyse public sector employment structure and provide insight into trends in this regard
\n(occupations, salary level structures, employment nature, admin vs front line staff, temporary staff,
\nsupernumerary\/excess staff, span of control, etc) \u2022 Model Public Sector Employment Growth: Develop and
\nmaintain model for conducting projections of personnel growth in the public sector \u2022 Prepare reports on personnel
\ngrowth projections in the public sector and advice on alignment with policy prescripts \u2022 Oversight of changes to
\npublic sector Funded Personnel Establishments: Assess and monitor the implementation of budgets for
\nprofessional services \u2022 Monitor the shifting of funds between compensation of employees and other classes of
\nexpenditure \u2022 Annual wage negotiation in public sector bargaining council: Represent employer in PSCBC and
\nsectoral bargaining forums \u2022 Prepare accurate calculation on preliminary costing proposals of various mandates.<\/p>\n
