DIVISION MANAGER: PARLIAMENTARY COMMUNICATION SERVICES

\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic development, and
\nmanagement of the Parliamentary Communication Services, in line with the mandate and the communications

\nKey performance areas will include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
\nmanagement team in the following sections: Internal Communications, Public Relations, Content Development,
\nPublishing, Multimedia, Media Relations \u25a0 formulate and implement a comprehensive and integrated
\ncommunications strategy for Parliament \u25a0 ensure the effective flow of information within Parliament and
\nbetween Parliament and the people of South Africa \u25a0 ensure an effective use of the Parliament footage to
\nprofile the work of Parliament \u25a0 manage and build working relationships with all media houses \u25a0 implement
\nintegrated communications systems, using all the various platforms of communications \u25a0 promote the public
\nimage of Parliament and build an informed staff of Parliament \u25a0 ensure that Parliament Communication Services
\ndevelop shared core services within its various units \u25a0 advise the Secretary to Paliament on matters relating
\nto communications.<\/p>\n
\ncommunications environment, of which 5 years must be in senior management.<\/p>\n
\nthat aligns with the strategic objectives and the mandate of Parliament \u25a0 communications protocols, guidelines
\nand policies \u25a0 ability to manage communication challenges and to intervene strategically when the need arises

\ncommunication from time to time \u25a0 knowledge of how to manage content and identify strategic platforms such
\nas production of publications and the development of content for websites and intranets \u25a0 sound knowledge of
\nelectronic and print media \u25a0 keen awareness and understanding of current affairs, including working knowledge
\nof the benefits of trend analysis in communications \u25a0 well-practiced communications management acumen
\n\u25a0 excellent planning and ability to develop and review communications strategy \u25a0 agility and ability to identify
\ncommunications opportunities, to reach South Africans at various geographic places \u25a0 diplomacy and political savvy
\n\u25a0 excellent written and oral communication skills \u25a0 interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate to teams
\n\u25a0 knowledge of the Financial Management of Parliament Act [FMPA] and Parliament\u2019s mandate.<\/p>\n
