Position Description\u00a0<\/strong> <\/p>\n Position Requirements\u00a0<\/strong> \u2022Accountable for leading the portfolio of IT projects (non\u2013Alpha) agreed and prioritised with the business function<\/p>\n \u2022Accountable for the management and maintenance of the IT project portfolio for the business function.<\/p>\n \u2022Accountable for the management and maintenance of key business process maps, and application\/infrastructure landscape<\/p>\n \u2022Responsible for working with the leadership team to participate in the definition of solutions, delivery and alignment to business and IT strategies.<\/p>\n \u2022Responsible for the communication of the SIO vision and strategy for both the function and IT solutions to the business function.<\/p>\n \u2022To be the point of contact for queries around the level of IT service or project delivery raised by the business function leadership team.<\/p>\n \u2022To provide project and service support as the point of contact for matters escalated to the business leadership team from IT.<\/p>\n \u2022Responsible for the implementation of the SIO and Delivery functions vision and goals.<\/p>\n \u2022Responsible for supporting the IT relationship with 3rd Party Suppliers<\/p>\n \u2022Responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered to agreed timelines, budget and meet quality standards set by SOX, Audit and internal governance rules.<\/p>\n \u2022Continually identify opportunities for process improvement and initiate work to do so where cost benefit justified<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n Position Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n Leadership Skills \/ Competencies Required:<\/strong> \u2022Strong IT delivery management experience of leading and developing a team of diverse staff on an assignment basis, across multiple disciplines.<\/p>\n \u2022Strong Talent and people Management skills and experience of direction setting and organisational development<\/p>\n \u2022Excellent communication and listening skills with people at all levels of the organisation from divisional Exec teams to project assigned resources<\/p>\n \u2022The ability to understand and translate IT and business vision, to set goals required to develop an accountable and collaborative environment within which the quality of delivery clear and understood<\/p>\n \u2022Proven experience of working at a senior level in IT, working closely with country business and IT partners (including external suppliers) within a fast peace environment.<\/p>\n \u2022Have strong appreciation of, and respect for, diversity in the workplace.<\/p>\n \u2022Proven track record in managing a portfolio of programmes and projects, and the ability to initiate and lead change at a corporate level<\/p>\n \u2022Experience of leading strategic change programmes including use of 3rd party suppliers across multiple platforms.<\/p>\n \u2022Demonstrated technical leadership in systems integration, and provision of IT support services across applications \/ infrastructure<\/p>\n \u2022Proven vendor management skills.<\/p>\n \u2022Proven experience of budgeting & financial control at departmental level<\/p>\n \u2022Ability to work on complex problems requiring detailed analysis, and identification and implementation of recovery actions.<\/p>\n \u2022Experience within financial services background or in process \/ transaction led business.<\/p>\n \u2022Bachelor or Masters Degree in computer science \/engineering \/ business related field with a proven track record of continuous skill development.<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Experience Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Minimum of 3 years in similar capacity in IT leadership capacity <\/p>\n
\nThe IT Manager will manage in-country IT system related projects; information technology system related in the country head office and\/or branch offices; monitor the production environment; collaborate with production support teams to ensure the production SLAs are met; manage the in-country IT system delivery budget to ensure spending are within the authorized budget; ensure all practices and processes are in compliance with corporate standards and policies; and maintain a positive relationship with the business stakeholders within the country.<\/p>\n
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\n\u2022The IT Manager reports to the Senior Information Officer.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Proven ability to build relationships with senior business managers and to communicate business strategy to IT, in respect of fit to IT strategies and delivery plans.<\/p>\n
\nTechnical Skills \/ Competencies Required:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Proven delivery track record of working closely with senior business teams – leading major projects.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Bachelor degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
\n\u2022Master degree is a plus but not required
\n\u2022Prior experience working in cross functional and matrix environment is a plus but not required
\n\u2022Working knowledge of General Insurance or Financial Services preferable
\n\u2022Process and workflow experience is an advantage<\/p>\n\n\n
