REQUIREMENTS \n<\/b><\/p>\n
\u00a0\u2022A grade 12 Certificate plus 1 year experience within an immigration environment is required<\/div>\n
\u2022 A 3 year Degree\/Diploma will serve as advantage\u2022 Knowledge of the SOP\u2019s of the<\/div>\n
migration control, patrol and inspection activity in a Port of Entry \u2022 Knowledge of the<\/div>\n
Immigration Act. Refugees Act, Criminal Prosecution Act, Public Service Act and<\/div>\n
Regulations, Public Finance Management Act as well as the South African Constitution \u2022<\/div>\n
Understanding of International treaties \u2022 Computer Literacy \u2022 Client innovation and service<\/div>\n
delivery improvement orientation, within the context of legal frameworks \u2022 Sound problem<\/div>\n
solving, data collation, analysis, trend identification and report writing skills. Good written and<\/div>\n
verbal communication \u2022 Proven business partnering and stakeholder engagement \u2022 Patriotic<\/div>\n

DUTIES<\/b><\/b><\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for, amongst others, the following specific<\/div>\n
tasks:<\/div>\n
\u00a0\u2022Conduct clearance of travellers on arrival and departure \u2022 Ensure that all travellers who<\/div>\n
contravene the validity of their permits are issued with prescribed administrative fines \u2022 Issue<\/div>\n
cross border permits to all eligible travellers in accordance with the Immigration Act \u2022 Issue<\/div>\n
emergency travel documents to all eligible RSA citizens in accordance with the SA Passport<\/div>\n
and Travel Documents Act \u2022 Determine guarantees and deposits \u2022 Deal with asylum seekers<\/div>\n
in terms of the Refugees Act \u2022 Clear out conveyers after arrival and before departure \u2022<\/div>\n
Identify conveyers that contravene the Immigration Act on arrival, and issue penalties \u2022<\/div>\n
Detect signs and traces in conveyers to establish any migration violation and other illegal<\/div>\n
activities. \u2022Detect signs and traces in travel documents to establish any migration violation<\/div>\n
and other illegal activities \u2022 Ensure effective processing of inadmissible or undesirable<\/div>\n
persons on arrival who are refused to enter the Country \u2022 Ensure effective processing of<\/div>\n
prohibited persons on departure who are refused to leave the Country \u2022 \u2022Ensure effective<\/div>\n
processing of castaways, stowaways and deserters \u2022 Facilitate the prosecution of persons<\/div>\n
travelling with falsified South African documents \u2022 Ensure that persons working at the border<\/div>\n
lines are working legally in the Country \u2022 Ensure visibility at the border line.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
