Role Description \/\u00a0Key Performance Areas\u00a0(Main Responsibilities)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
– Technical Engineer to support BP Oil Account \nMonitoring of queue and resolving of tickets on a day to day basis<\/p>\n
Creating and resolving of Root Cause Analysis on Severity 1 and Severity 2 incidents<\/p>\n
Creating and Implementing changes<\/p>\n
Standby support (on a rotating basis)<\/p>\n
Shift Work<\/p>\n
Perform project work on an ad-hoc basis<\/p>\n
Ensuring the accuracy of Information Systems<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Task Descriptions for Key Performance Areas<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
Monitoring of queues and resolving of tickets on a day to day basis<\/strong><\/p>\n
Target of keeping the WINTEL incident queue under 100<\/div>\n
Maintaining of green SLA on all tickets<\/div>\n
Action the tickets as assigned by the SPOC<\/div>\n
On occasion perform SPOC duties if required<\/div>\n
Proactively assigning tickets to yourself<\/div>\n
Create and action RCA on all SEV 1\u2019s and SEV 2\u2019s<\/div>\n
Monitor team mailbox and process\/delegate any work that is required which includes escalations<\/div>\n
Ensure incidents are escalated timeously if needed<\/div>\n
Assist engineers if required<\/div>\n
Ensure effective communication within the your respective team<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Creating and resolving of RCA’s (Root Cause Analysis) on SEV (Severity) 1 and SEV (Severity) 2 incidents<\/strong><\/p>\n
RCA\u2019s need to be conducted on all SEV 1\u2019s and SEV 2\u2019s<\/div>\n
Follow the 5 why methodology to ascertain root cause of incident<\/div>\n
Follow proper procedure when actioning RCA\u2019s<\/div>\n
Maintain Green SLA on RCA\u2019s<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Creating and Implementing changes<\/strong><\/p>\n
Creating and implementing RFC\u2019s according to the process<\/div>\n
Ensure approval is received prior to change<\/div>\n
Ensure change is implemented as scheduled and according to plan<\/div>\n
Maintaining Green SLA on changes<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Standby support (on a rotating basis)<\/strong><\/p>\n
Be available for 24×7 standby support according to a roster<\/div>\n
Respond to high priority incidents timelines as defined in contract with client (SLA)<\/div>\n
Ensure you are available at all times to both dial up from home and answer the standby cellphone<\/div>\n

Perform project work on an ad-hoc basis<\/strong><\/p>\n
Building and configuring of servers on the client environment<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Ensuring the correctness of Information Systems<\/strong><\/p>\n
Keep Configuration Management Database updated with correct information<\/div>\n
Ensure that password spreadsheets are up to date<\/div>\n
Update processes so that they are accurate<\/div>\n
Correct capturing of any overtime and\/or project hours<\/div>\n
Competencies Required to enable proficiency in Job<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

Education & Experience:\u00a0<\/strong>MCITP 2008<\/span>and a\u00a0Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in similar position with hands-on support and network administration experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Knowledge\/Skills:\u00a0<\/strong>Good administrative and organisational skills, Creative problem solving skills, Ability to train staff<\/div>\n
