\n\uf0b7 An appropriate B-Degree\/National Diploma in Finance \/Accounting; PLUS A minimum of three (3) years\u2019
\nexperience in a Payroll\/Financial Management environment.
\n\uf0b7 Knowledge, Skills, Training and Competencies Required: The incumbent of this post will report to the
\nAssistant Manager: Finance, and will be responsible to ensure, in terms of the Public Finance
\nManagement Act, effective and efficient central payroll control for SACE.
\n\uf0b7 Possess expert knowledge of the legislative and practice notes on the management of policy imperatives
\ninforming the area of operation.
\n\uf0b7 Have the ability to analyse complex information and to transform that into user-friendly processes,
\npolicies and guidelines.
\n\uf0b7 Have the ability to prioritise issues and other work related matters and to comply with set time frames.
\nHigh level of accuracy is required.
\nBe computer literate with proficiency in Pastel payroll, Pastel accounting, MS Office word and Excel Software
\napplications.
\n <\/p>\n
\n\uf0b7 On-going maintenance of payroll system and leave capturing. Updating and maintaining payroll records.
\nLiaising with staff and management on payroll related queries.
\n\uf0b7 Maintaining leave and overtime reports. Interpreting awards and contracts in relation to employee
\nappointments and performance.
\n\uf0b7 Undertaking required reporting, both internal and statutory reporting i.e. SARS, Compensation
\ncommissioner.
\n\uf0b7 Payroll administration \u2013 e.g. filing, setting up new employees.
\n\uf0b7 Calculation and payment of termination payments. Processing increases and calculation of back pays.
\nAssisting the Assistant Manager with month end consolidation, reconciliation and payment of payroll
\nand tax.
\n\uf0b7 Reconciling payroll related GL accounts.
\n\uf0b7 Calculating annual leave and Bonus provisions.<\/p>\n
