\nSACE is inviting applications from interested individuals, including retired educators, to be appointed as the
\nSACE CPTD Provincial Coordinators in the nine (9) provinces. Appointments will be on a one-year renewable
\ncontract until 31 December 2016. Selected individuals will be offered training before they commence with
\nduties.<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\u25cfA recognised and appropriate three-year post matriculation or equivalent educational
\nqualification at degree level<\/p>\n
\u25cfAt least five (5) years\u2019 experience as Principal or Deputy Principal or any other equivalent managerial experience in the education system<\/p>\n
\u25cfExtensive knowledge of the South African Education System<\/p>\n
\u25cfKnowledge and understanding of the CPTD Management System<\/p>\n
\u25cfAbility to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the CPTD Management System in the province and produce the necessary reports<\/p>\n
\u25cfExperience in the supervision of educators (school \/ office-based) \u25cf Knowledge of the National Policy
\nFramework on Teacher Education and Development in South Africa (2007), Integrated Strategic Plan for Teacher Education and Development in South Africa (2011), and the CPTD System Handbook<\/p>\n
\u25cfKnowledge of other relevant education policies and legislation \u25cfStrong verbal and written communication as well as computer skills are essential<\/p>\n
\u25cfWillingness to work extensive hours and to travel<\/p>\n
\u25cfA valid driver\u2019s licence<\/p>\n
\u25cfOwn transport and computer with electronic mail facilities<\/p>\n
\u25cfPassion for making a positive contribution to South African education.<\/p>\n

\nKey areas of responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nWork collaboratively with Provincial and District officials and school management teams in
\nimplementing the CPTD Management system in the province\u25cf Produce annual, quarterly, and monthly
\nCPTD Management System plans and reports for the province \u25cf Monitor the implementation of the
\nCPTD management system in the province in line with the SACE CPTD System Monitoring and Evaluation
\nFramework and Instruments \u25cf Handle all CPTD-related enquiries from schools, educators and providers
\n\u25cf Coordinate provincial stakeholder meetings \u25cf Write, edit and analyse reports and make
\nrecommendations for further improvement and development \u25cfProvide guidance and support where
\nnecessary \u25cf Provide advice on available SACE Approved Providers and Endorsed Professional
\nDevelopment Activities
\nNOTE: Preference will be given to candidates residing in the provinces listed above and short-listed candidates
\nwill be subjected to a competency assessment.
\n\uf0b7 Maintaining accurate schools, educators, providers and evaluators records and information
\n\uf0b7 Assisting with general administrative and secretarial duties as required by the Senior Manager
\n\uf0b7 Assisting in administering surveys and capturing data from the PD and Research Division as a whole
\n\uf0b7 Ensuring that weekly and monthly reports and statistics are submitted regularly and timeously to
\nthe PD and Research Management Team
