RISK MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST: IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT (DEPUTY MANAGER LEVEL)

\nJOB PURPOSE: To strategically perform risk assessment on project management and information technology of
\nclient in terms of legislative mandates and to provide the IT Risk Management consulting services to all the clients.
\nREQUIREMENTS: a Bachelor\u2019s Degree\/National Diploma or an equivalent Three year qualification in Information
\nTechnology\/Information Systems or Computer Science. A minimum of Three (3) years experience in an Information
\nTechnology\/Risk Management\/Auditing environment. Two (2) years junior management \/supervisory experience will
\nserve as an added advantage. Computer literacy in Ms Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Internet and Email. Driver\u2019s
\nlicense.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducting risk assessment on behalf of the Accounting officers, CEO\u2019s and
\nMunicipal Managers of Provincial Departments, Public Entities and Municipalities. Manage special project
\nassociated with the IT and project management as directed by the Executive Councils, Audit Committee and
\nMunicipal Managers\/CEO. Develop IT Risk profile for Municipalities and Municipal Entities. Analyse and
\nbenchmark IT risks and controls and provide advice on IT risk mitigation strategies. Facilitate training and
\ndevelopment in IT risk assessments and internal control in the Municipalities and municipal entities<\/p>\n

COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of Risk Management strategies. Internal Controls,
\nPFMA and accompanying Treasury Regulations, PFSR, Management processes (specifically financial, procurement
\nand human resources) in the Public Service or PRIVATE Sector. Operating and reporting procedures and work
\nenvironment in the Public Service. Risk Management Strategies. Project Management. Systems Development Life
\nCycle. Information System Analysis and design methodologies. Control objectives for Information and related
\nTechnology. Information Technology Infrastructure Library. Minimum Information Security Standards. Information
\nsystem Audit and Control Association Guidelines. Institute of internal Auditors (IIA) Standards Guidelines. IT risk
\nand project management methodologies.
\nCandidates will be subjected to security screening prior employment.
