A permanent position exists within the Financial Management Unit for the Manager: Financial Management based at the Head Office in Sandton. The position Incumbent will report to the Head of Financial Management.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Assist in preparation of Annual Financial Statements and Consolidated Group Annual Financial Statements<\/p>\n Ensuring that Annual Financial Statements and Group AFS comply with IFRS and any other relevant legislation<\/p>\n Ensure that all internal subsidiaries financial statements are timeously prepared and comply with IFRS<\/p>\n Oversee the following sections within Financial Management:<\/p>\n Invoice Management, Travel Management and the Accounting for Money Market and Foreign Loans<\/p>\n Understand fully the functioning of the SAP system and experience in CaseWare Working Papers would be an advantage;<\/p>\n Enhance usage of the systems, continuously ensure that systems operate efficiently and effectively;<\/p>\n Review and identify any weakness in the current processes, systems and procedures and make enhancements to these;<\/p>\n Liaising with both internal and external auditors<\/p>\n Assist in preparation of the following financial reports<\/p>\n Monthly variance analysis Client Care \u2013 provide good standard of customer service internal and external clients. Exceed customer expectations<\/p>\n Perform management functions including: Team spirit, communication ,discipline, training and development<\/p>\n Supporting and driving Innovation in the team<\/p>\n Ensuring that Annual Financial Statements and Group AFS comply with IFRS and any other relevant legislation<\/p>\n Ensure that all internal subsidiaries financial statements are timeously prepared and comply with IFRS<\/p>\n Assist in preparation of Annual Financial Statements and Consolidated Group Annual Financial Statements<\/p>\n Industry standards, technology trends and best practices<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Job Requirements<\/strong> CA(SA)<\/p>\n 3 or more years post articles experience in a financial reporting role, people and performance management<\/p>\n Post graduate qualification in finance (e.g. MBA, MBL or CFA).<\/p>\n Microsoft Office, SAP, CaseWare Working Papers, IFRS<\/p>\n Experience in analysing and interpretation of financial statements<\/p>\n Should have excellent financial modelling skills.<\/p>\n Understand fully the functioning of the SAP system, enhance usage of the system and continuously ensure that systems operate efficiently and effective<\/p>\n 3 or more years post articles experience in a financial reporting role, exposure to the SAP environment, people and performance management and IFRS<\/p>\n Experience in assessing credit risk and the economic viability of businesses and\/or projects.<\/p>\n Update systems and procedures documents for approval by Systems and Procedures Committee<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Competences<\/strong><\/p>\n Ability to work independently and to perform under pressure.<\/p>\n Should have strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/p>\n Liaising with both internal and external auditors<\/p>\n Good negotiating and leadership skills<\/p>\n Ability to assist in preparation of monthly variance analysis reports, Quarterly reports to EXCO and the Board and Annual Consolidated FS<\/p>\n Assist in budget planning and management<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
