{"id":16596,"date":"2014-02-03T11:50:13","date_gmt":"2014-02-03T09:50:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=16596"},"modified":"2014-02-03T10:24:36","modified_gmt":"2014-02-03T08:24:36","slug":"jay-jays-store-manager-vacancies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/jay-jays-store-manager-vacancies.html","title":{"rendered":"Jay Jays Store Manager Vacancies: (2 Positions)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The primary focus of the Store Manager position would be to maintain top standards in all areas of responsibility:- customer service, the achievement of sales targets and quality standards on the sales floor, shrinkage and cost control, day-to-day store administration, stock image, visual merchandising, the pro-active management, people management, motivation and training and development of your team members.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two years retail experience which includes at least one year in a management position.<br \/>\nMatric or equivalent.<br \/>\nFurther qualifications related to retail \/ business will be an advantage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Be energetic and a self starter.<br \/>\nOutstanding merchandise management, stock and cost control skills.<br \/>\nA focus on customer service.<br \/>\nThe capacity to maintain high store standards.<br \/>\nA Proven ability to influence and lead a team.<br \/>\nYou will have a keen development orientation in that you will be inspired to develop yourself and fellow team members.<br \/>\nAbility to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) and competence in a second official language would be a definite advantage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Optimize the sales of the store through the effective implementation of business processes.<br \/>\nGenerate and exceed sales budget and growth.<br \/>\nOptimize profit through the effective management of costs. (To manage cost within budget)<br \/>\nEnsure professional HR practices in staffing and talent processes.<br \/>\nEffective stock management in your store.<br \/>\nExceed customer expectations.<br \/>\nEnsure subordinate effectiveness through effective leadership and clear communication and management of job performance.<br \/>\nAdhere to Company policies and procedures.<br \/>\nEnsure a climate of productivity and positive morale by living the Company values.<br \/>\nManage your store according to the business plan to ensure optimal brand and store image representation.<br \/>\nOther Exciting opportunities for a self motivated individual who wants to make JAYS their base.
