Candidate should hold a 3 year Bachelor\u2019s Degree or National Diploma with finance or commercial related subjects;<\/p>\n
A minimum of 1-2 years\u2019 experience in Supply Chain Management environment or financial management;<\/p>\n
Knowledge, experience, interpretation and application of accrual accounting and GRAP standards will be an added advantage; Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations on public entity and other relevant regulations;<\/p>\n
ERP knowledge on Oracle or SAP or AccPacc or accrual accounting compliant systems and a valid driver\u2019s license are essential.<\/p>\n

The incumbent will be responsible for the following functions: Capture and maintain a departmental supplier database; Obtain quotations from suppliers on the departmental supplier database or using any appropriate sourcing method;<\/p>\n
Assist users with drafting of terms of references (ToRs) and specifications for goods or services; Compile request for bids\/quotes and ensure that all relevant forms are attached;<\/p>\n
Coordinate and attend briefing sessions to give clarity to prospective bidders on SCM processes in terms of SCM regulations;<\/p>\n
Evaluate quotations and bids by applying the relevant PPPFA preference point system when applicable;<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance to all SCM prescripts and Treasury regulations;<\/p>\n
Capture and issuing of orders; Manage suppliers performance;<\/p>\n
Notify unsuccessful bidders of the outcome of their quotations;<\/p>\n
Conduct asset verification; Stock count and perform reconciliations of the fixed asset register and the trial balance.<\/p>\n
