{"id":16790,"date":"2014-02-18T04:59:43","date_gmt":"2014-02-18T02:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=16790"},"modified":"2014-02-18T04:59:43","modified_gmt":"2014-02-18T02:59:43","slug":"investec-recruits-graduate-business-analyst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/investec-recruits-graduate-business-analyst.html","title":{"rendered":"Investec Recruits Graduate Business Analyst"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Investec Wealth and Investment has a vacant position for a Graduate Business Analyst within the IT department in Sandton.<\/p>\n<p><b>Overall role specification:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in delivering cost-effective, easy-to-use, innovative solutions (business processes, systems and technology)<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the full SDLC including post implementation activities<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that processes, business rules, project administration etc are accurately and completely documented in line with agreed project and specialisation area standards and internal audit controls<\/li>\n<li>Define user requirements, create user cases, and document user requirements specifications by performing user interviews, JAD sessions and industry research.<\/li>\n<li>Define user acceptance test cases and assist the users through the process.<\/li>\n<li>Document presentations, approach documents, and functional specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate the rollout of processes<\/li>\n<li>Understand your stakeholders and their expectations and priorities for every initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate regularly with stakeholders to understand and manage their respective expectations and priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate signoff on all business cases, project charters, requirements, processes, system designs, and testing documents by business and IT stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Ongoing liaison with other Investec teams, service providers and software vendors in order to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver efficiency through appropriate risk management.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the system meets the business requirements in terms of functionality, capacity, reliability and useful life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Assist the senior BA in:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyzing new requirements<\/li>\n<li>Doing testing, setting up test cases and change control documents.<\/li>\n<li>Creating user manuals and mock layouts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Core competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed B.Com \/ B.Sc. or related degree in IT<\/li>\n<li>Strong administration skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills (written and spoken)<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Maximum 1 years experience if already graduated<\/li>\n<li>Experience \/ knowledge in the following technologies: SQL<\/li>\n<li>Experience \/ knowledge in the following tools: MS Office Suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Additional details<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Graduates should have a completed degree<\/li>\n<li>Graduates should possess keen problem-solving skills, great interpersonal skills and a passion for the financial markets and Banking.<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to cope under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Must be proactive with a \u2018can-do\u2019 attitude<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritise multiple tasks with deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ambitious, delivery focused and accountable<\/li>\n<li>Team player who is self motivated, focused and able to work independently when required<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well with different personalities<\/li>\n<li>Sound technical skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to adapt to rapid changes<\/li>\n<li>Ability to be flexible in working long hours when required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>How to apply<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/careers.investec.co.za\/OA_HTML\/OA.jsp?OAFunc=IRC_VIS_VAC_DISPLAY&amp;p_svid=21392\" target=\"_new\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Closing Date: Unspecified<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Investec Wealth and Investment has a vacant position for a Graduate Business Analyst within the IT department in Sandton.
