\nTo manage the Resource Centre at Kromme Rhee.<\/p>\n
\nRequirements:
\n\u2022 Appropriate B-degree (or equivalent qualification) – NQF 6 which includes Library and Information Science;
\n\u2022 A minimum of 2 years relevant experience, preferable within a Resource Centre or appropriate environment.
\n <\/p>\n
\nRecommendation:
\n\u2022 A valid driver’s licence;
\n\u2022 Working knowledge of research methodologies;
\n\u2022 Working knowledge of information and knowledge management. .<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Assist with research, information and knowledge management as related to the resource centre and its supporting role;
\n\u2022 Provide customer service, promote awareness, events and communication to market the Centre;
\n\u2022 Handle general administrative duties pertaining to the Resource Centre.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Knowledge of the following:
\no Library management as well as electronic information resources and online retrieval;
\no Applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, and best practices in the field of information and knowledge;
\n\u2022 Proven computer literacy (MS Office);
\n\u2022 Good communication (written and verbal) skills in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape Province;
\n\u2022 Web navigation, research, statistics and stock taking skills.
\n\u2022 Outstanding planning and organizing skills.
