In addition it offers free services such as email, blogs, answers, social networking and games.<\/p>\n<p>24.com remains the biggest internet publisher in Africa, reaching over 2.7 million users across its network of sites. News24 leads as the top local destination with 1.6 million unique South African users per month. A variety of sub-brands (including Fin24, Sport24 and Health24) are category leaders in their niche fields. During the yearNews24 extended its brand into mobile applications for the iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Nokia platforms, and increased its WAP mobile audience.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Core Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Upload content to websites.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Research people, events and statistics online.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Proof read and fact check.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Develop marketable concepts<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Summarise information.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Contribute ideas as part of the editorial team.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Participate in social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 User\/customer interaction and assistance<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Skills and Competencies:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Interest and understanding of Social Networks and internet in general.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Good research skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Impeccable Spelling and Grammar.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 An eye for detail.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Computer Literate.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Fast Learner.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Imagination and initiative<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Minimum Matric.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 English, Media, Communications or related diploma or degree advantageous.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Remuneration:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 A market related stipend will be paid to the successful applicant.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Location:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Applicants must reside in Cape Town or surrounds.
