Requirements include:<\/b><\/p>\n
A Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent qualification (M-Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology); a minimum of 5 experience in a senior management level; experience in a Local Government environment will be an added advantage; knowledge of local government legislation; good communication skills; knowledge of CABIT and implementation of the framework; knowledge of project management principles and practices (PMBOK, PRINCE 11); knowledge of Network Architecture, Corporate Governance, ICT Governance and Compliance; IT Quality Management Principles; General Financial Management and General ICT Procurement; knowledge of KING III; Risk Management; general management and business support; functional application support; ability to communicate at all levels; work under pressure; adhere to strict confidentiality and working independently; results focused; high level of emotional intelligence; a valid code B driver\u2019s licence and good driving capabilities.<\/p>\n

Duties include:<\/b><\/p>\n
Overseeing the ICT functions and operations of the IT Division, developing the application support services strategy that is aligned to the ICT service delivery strategy to ensure the provisioning of integrated application support services function to ADM officials; overseeing the Risk Management functions and operations of risk management unit; ensuring that risk management is institutionalized; ensuring that risk management mattes are part of the Corporate Strategy (IDP); overseeing the Communications functions and operations of the Communications Division; overseeing the full performance spectrum of the communication operations and Customer Care Call Centre in order to ensure optimum utilization of communication channels of the municipality; contributing to the development and review of the IDP; \u00a0contributing to the development of the departmental SDBIP; preparing capital and operating budget for the medium-term expenditure framework period as well as adjustments to the budget allocated to the Division; managing the performance of the staff of the unit ; overseeing capital and operating projects and programmes within the Division; attending to Division\u2019s matters raised by Auditor General.<\/p>\n
