These positions are based in Durban.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do contract management.<br \/>\nIdentify project requirements with a team-based approach.<br \/>\nEstablish clear and achievable objectives.<br \/>\nBalance the competing demands for quality, scope, time and cost.<br \/>\nAdapt the specifications, plans and approach to the different concerns and expectations of the various stakeholders (handling all possible conflict situations).<br \/>\nInitiate, plan, monitor, control and complete a portfolio of projects.<br \/>\nMonitor and control project progress including regular consolidation of financial data.<br \/>\nGenerate and present projects progress reports as and when required.<br \/>\nEnsure that high levels of data integrity are maintained on all CSIR systems.<br \/>\nEnsure that all project documentation is filed appropriately and accessible at all times.<br \/>\nManage of project level budgeting.<br \/>\nDo financial administration.<br \/>\nDo stakeholder management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, skills and experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Bachelor\u2019s degree or any tertiary qualification deemed to be equivalent by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).<br \/>\nFormal qualification in project management.<br \/>\nThree to five years\u2019 experience in project management.<br \/>\nAbility to work well in a team.<br \/>\nAbility to interpret client needs and requirements and scope the activities.<br \/>\nAbility to manage and report effectively on activities according to approved project plan.<br \/>\nAbility to work across project boundaries and with complex projects.<br \/>\nAbility to budget affectively.<br \/>\nExcellent report writing skills.<br \/>\nIntegration and synthesis of project results at high levels.<br \/>\nGood organisational, communication and people skills.<br \/>\nConflict management skills.<br \/>\nFull computer literacy and competency (MS Office including MS Projects).<br \/>\nExperience in ensuring implementation of multi-disciplinary project plans\/strategies across organisational boundaries.<br \/>\nExcellent team and stakeholder communication.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/candidate.csir.co.za\/psp\/hr91prd_cgw\/EMPLOYEE\/HRMS\/c\/HRS_HRAM.HRS_CE.GBL?Page=HRS_CE_JOB_DTL&amp;Action=A&amp;JobOpeningId=303917&amp;SiteId=1&amp;PostingSeq=1\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 21 March 2014<\/p>\n<p>PLEASE NOTE THAT FEEDBACK WILL BE GIVEN TO SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES ONLY.<\/p>\n<p>Should you experience any problems in submitting your application, please contact the CSIR Recruitment Centre at Recruitmentqueries@csir.co.za.
