REQUIREMENTS : A three year tertiary qualification in Environmental Management or
\nEnvironmental Sciences coupled with relevant experience and a valid driver\u2019s
\nlicence PLUS the following key competencies:\uf032Knowledge of:\uf069Integrated
\nenvironmental management\uf069Impact Assessment remediation and evaluation
\nMethods\uf069Environmental legislation \uf069Mining methods, mining processes,
\nmining waste generation and disposal\uf069Principles and application of
\nmanagement \uf032Skills:\uf069Computer skills\uf069Good communication skills. Verbal and
\nnon-verbal\uf069Good negotiation skills\uf069English reading and writing
\nskills\uf032Communication:\uf069Good verbal and non-verbal\uf032Creativity:\uf069Negotiation
\nskills\uf069Information evaluation\uf069Ability to work in a team<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Evaluate environmental management program plans, environmental impact
\nAssessments, scoping reports, closure applications and other technical and
\nEnvironmental documents\uf069Conduct environmental compliance, auditing,
\nperformance assessment and Closure inspections to promote environmental
\nmanagement.\uf069Evaluate adequacy of financial provision and regulate the closure
\nof mines within stipulated time frames. Investigate and resolve mine
\nenvironmental issues, queries and complaints between the mining industry and
\nthe public. Assist clients through promotion of Administrative justice.<\/p>\n
