{"id":17176,"date":"2014-03-26T11:42:50","date_gmt":"2014-03-26T09:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=17176"},"modified":"2014-03-26T11:43:25","modified_gmt":"2014-03-26T09:43:25","slug":"traineestore-managers-needed-ackermans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/traineestore-managers-needed-ackermans.html","title":{"rendered":"Trainee\/Store Managers Needed at Ackermans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Purpose <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The primary focus of the Store Manager position would be to maintain top standards in all areas of responsibility:- customer service, the achievement of sales targets and quality standards on the sales floor, shrinkage and cost control, day-to-day store administration, stock image, visual merchandising, the pro-active management, people management, motivation and training and development of your team members.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Matric or equivalent<br \/>\n* Further qualifications related to retail \/ business will be an advantage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Be energetic and a self starter<br \/>\n* 3 years retail experience which includes at least one year in a management position<br \/>\n* Outstanding merchandise management, stock and cost control skills<br \/>\n* A focus on customer service<br \/>\n* The capacity to maintain high store standards<br \/>\n* A Proven ability to influence and lead a team<br \/>\n* You will have a keen development orientation in that you will be inspired to develop yourself and fellow team members<br \/>\n* Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) and competence in a second official language would be a definite advantage<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Optimize the sales of the store through the effective implementation of business processes.<br \/>\n\u2022 Generate and exceed sales budget and growth.<br \/>\n\u2022 Optimize profit through the effective management of costs. (To manage cost within budget)<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure professional HR practices in staffing and talent processes.<br \/>\n\u2022 Effective stock management in your store.<br \/>\n\u2022 Exceed customer expectations.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure subordinate effectiveness through effective leadership and clear communication and management of job performance.<br \/>\n\u2022 Adhere to Company policies and procedures.<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure a climate of productivity and positive morale by living the Company values.<br \/>\n\u2022 Manage your store according to the business plan to ensure optimal brand and store image representation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The successful applicant will need to be able to work within a team and have lots of drive. She\/he will need to be able to work to deadlines, and to effectively deal with numerous and complex issues and priorities, so sound judgement, decision making and time management skills are very important.
