{"id":17211,"date":"2014-03-31T05:04:33","date_gmt":"2014-03-31T03:04:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=17211"},"modified":"2014-03-31T05:06:53","modified_gmt":"2014-03-31T03:06:53","slug":"assistant-director-technical-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/assistant-director-technical-support.html","title":{"rendered":"Assistant Director &#8211; Technical Support [33 Positions]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Department of Water Affairs Vacancies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: TECHNICAL SUPPORT<br \/>\nThree (3) year contract positions<br \/>\nChief Directorate: Regional Bulk Infrastructure Programme<\/p>\n<p>SALARY : R 252 144 plus 37 % in lieu of benefits per annum (Level 9)<br \/>\nCENTRE : Head Office: 4, North West Region: 2, Gauteng Region:2, Eastern Cape Region:<br \/>\n5, Kwazulu Natal Region: 5, Mpumalanga Region: 3, Limpopo Region: 3,<br \/>\nWestern Cape: 3, Free State: 3, Northern Cape: 3<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>REQUIREMENTS : Degree or a National Diploma in Project management; Three (3) &#8211; five (5) years<br \/>\nexperience in monitoring and evaluation, general management of technical or<br \/>\ninfrastructure projects, able to interact with people at various and diverse<br \/>\nexecutive levels, sound computer knowledge, business communication skills<br \/>\n(verbal and written), sound knowledge and understanding of RBIG processes<br \/>\nand relevant programmes, proven track record in information analysis and<br \/>\ninterpretation, planning, excellent report writing and presentation skills,<br \/>\nwillingness to travel and work long hours, valid driver\u2019s licence, project financial<br \/>\nskills and knowledge of PFMA and National Treasury prescripts, ability to work<br \/>\nindependently with limited or no supervision, exposure to government policies<br \/>\nand systems. Knowledge of the National Water Act.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>DUTIES : Coordinate with Head Office and Regional Teams to ensure successful planning<br \/>\nand implementation of the Regional Bulk Infrastructure Programme. Monitoring<br \/>\nquality control. Engaging with communities, leadership structures and key<br \/>\nstakeholders to elicit support or intervene on critical situation issues. Facilitation<br \/>\nof technical support services to the communities. Assistance to priorities and<br \/>\nprogramme management in all capital works. Preparing interim and financial<br \/>\nproject investigational and performance report. Attending meetings and providing<br \/>\ninformation on performance assessments. Certify payment or non-payment of<br \/>\ninvoices. Monitoring and managing projects under project circle stages. Manage<br \/>\nwater use registration and licensing.
