\nSALARY : R68 010 per annum (Level 2)
\nCENTRE : NWRI Eastern operations: Klipfontein Dam (1 post), Ntshingwayo Dam (8 posts),<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : ABET qualifications, one (1) \u2013 (2) two year\u2019s relevant experience. Knowledge of
\ngardening equipments and appliances. Knowledge of lawn care process, pruning
\nand trimming process and techniques. Knowledge of daily maintenance
\nprocedures for efficient machine \/ equipment performance. Knowledge of health
\nand safety procedures. Knowledge of garden maintenance and planting
\npractices. Must be able to read and write. Good communication skills (verbal and<\/p>\n
written), Good interpersonal skills self-motivated and show willingness to work.
\nAbility to work under pressure, independently and in a team. Must be able to
\nwork under supervision. Must have knowledge of Occupational Health and
\nSafety.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Cleaning and grounds and repair tools and structures (buildings, fences &
\nbenches), using hand and power tools. Mixing spray or spread fertilizers
\nherbicides orinsecticides onto grass, shrubs and trees. Provide proper upkeep
\nand sweeping offside walks, driveways, parking lots and others. Maintain existing
\ngrounds \/ gardens by caring for sod, plants and trees. Rake and mulch leaves,
\nirrigate plants and lawns. Cleaning of Galleries in the dam wall which includes
\nbut not limited to the following: sweeping, painting and washing of the floors,
\nmaintenance of the surrounding dam areas, perform gardening duties on the side
\nof the access road. Perform regular inspections on tools and report defaults.
\nAssist with maintenance duties from time to time. Perform fire breaks & tree
\nfelling within Government Water Schemes. NOTE: Candidates may be subjected
\nto a skills and knowledge test.<\/p>\n
