\nCertificate plus 1 years\u2019 experience within an immigration environment is required
\n\u2022 A relevant three year Diploma \/ Degree as well as Military experience will
\nserve as an added advantage \u2022 Knowledge of the SOP\u2019s of the migration control,
\npatrol and inspection activity in a Port of Entry \u2022 Knowledge of the Immigration
\nAct, Refugees Act, Criminal Prosecution Act, Public Service Act and Regulations,
\nPublic Finance Management Act as well as the South African Constitution \u2022
\nUnderstanding of International treaties \u2022 Computer Literacy \u2022 Client innovation
\nand service delivery improvement orientation, within the context of legal
\nframeworks \u2022 Sound problem solving, data collation, analysis, trend identification
\nand report writing skills \u2022 Good written and verbal communication \u2022 Proven
\nbusiness partnering and stakeholder engagement \u2022 Patriotic, Honesty and

DUTIES : The successful candidate will be responsible for amongst others, the following
\nspecific tasks: \u2022 Trace, arrest and detain illegal foreigners within the Republic \u2022
\nProcess the deportation of illegal foreigners \u2022 Execute inspections in loco without
\na warrant if allowed by law \u2022 Execute investigations in loco on search warrants \u2022
\nEnable prosecution of transgressors of the legislation \u2022 Issue notices to appear in
\nfront of Director General to transgressors \u2022 Issue the admission of guilt fines to
\ntransgressors \u2022 Conduct interviews and investigation of foreigners who are
\nsuspected to be illegal in the country \u2022 Issue orders to illegal foreigners to depart
\nfrom the country \u2022 Process application for the extension of detention warrants \u2022
\nMonitor the records of all cases \u2022 Execute operations with internal and external
\nstakeholders \u2022 Retrieve expenses incurred from illegal foreigners in relation to
\ntheir deportation, detention, maintenance and custody.<\/p>\n

SALARY : R138 345 to R162 963 per annum (Level 6). In addition, a range of competitive\u00a0benefits are offered.<\/p>\n
