We require the services of a QUALITY CONTROLLER reporting to the Quality Services Manager, QMR. This position does not involve laboratory work and although based in Parow, this is a Regional position and the incumbent will be required to travel alone from time to time.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n Ensure that the Southern Region Distribution Centres comply with Distell\u2019s National Quality Policies and Procedures. <\/p>\n The successful candidate must have the following experience\/skills:<\/strong> <\/p>\n
\nEnsure that all DCs, TX and Sales staff in the Southern Region is knowledgeable on the Distell Quality Management requirements and standards. Conduct training where necessary.
\nVisit DC\u2019s to evaluate and assist with the implementation of Quality policies \/ principles e.g. stock rotation, storage conditions etc.
\nEnsure that the company\u2019s Trade Return Policy is correctly executed.
\nAddress specific quality issues as they arise.
\nMonitor the quality of stock as received from Secondary Production and initiate corrective actions if required.
\nManage all quality related customer\/consumer complaints.
\nPerform customer visits to assess the quality of stock in the trade and initiate corrective actions where required.
\nIdentify and drive the rotation \/ selling out of slow moving products.
\nPro-actively assist in the management of culled products.
\nCo\u2013ordinate Write-off\u2019s and disposal of Non Conforming products
\nAssist in problem-solving.
\nAnalyse relevant data, compiling of Quality reports and perform administrative duties.
\nWork closely with the Regional Logistics Planning department.
\nAssist the Region in the management of the Quality Management System.<\/p>\n
\nAbility to understand and implement processes.
\nAbility to identify and solve problems.
\nAbility to influence management to adhere to processes.
\nAbility to perform Distribution and QMS audits and follow up on findings.
\nAbility to manage projects independently and as part of a team.
\nMust be structured, meticulous and display attention to detail
\nGood communication and presentation skills.
\nAbility to work under pressure.
\nComputer literate with MS office (Intermediate level) and SAP.
\nA valid drivers licence
\nAn appropriate tertiary qualification in a Quality Management, Scientific or Food and Beverage related field
\n2-3 years experience in a similar work environment.<\/p>\n
