REQUIREMENTS :<\/p>\n
An appropriate qualification at NQF level 6 with Entomology or equivalent Plant\u00a0Protection as a major<\/p>\n
\u25cf Proof of registration with the SACNASP as a candidate\u00a0Natural Scientist is compulsory upon appointment<\/p>\n
\u25cf exposure in programme and\u00a0project management<\/p>\n
\u25cf Knowledge of Scientific methodologies and models<\/p>\n
\u25cfBroad knowledge of norms and standards dealing with natural agricultural\u00a0resources<\/p>\n
\u25cf Ability to analyze data<\/p>\n
\u25cf Ability to operate computer-aided scientific\u00a0applications<\/p>\n
\u25cf A valid driver\u2019s license (Code EB). Candidates will be subjected to\u00a0a competency assessment<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
DUTIES : The incumbent will assist in the implementation of policy and regulatory and\u00a0administrative frameworks for the collection, and preservation of data,\u00a0information and knowledge required for the planning, management and\u00a0sustainable use of natural agricultural resources<\/p>\n
\u25cf Perform scientific functions\u00a0with basic tasks that require some interpretation in the presence of an\u00a0established framework<\/p>\n
\u25cfApply appropriate scientific techniques and procedures;\u00a0and compile report<\/p>\n
\u25cfParticipate in the prescribed mentoring programme of the\u00a0department.<\/p>\n
