\nREQUIREMENTS : An appropriate qualification at NQF level 6 in Science\/Chemistry\/Analytical
\nChemistry\/equivalent \u25cf Proof of registration with SACNASP as a Certificated
\nNatural Scientist in training is compulsory upon appointment<\/p>\n
\u25cf Knowledge of\u00a0programme management, scientific methodologies, research and development<\/p>\n
\u25cfKnowledge of legal compliance, technical report writing, professional judgment,\u00a0data analysis<\/p>\n
\u25cf Must possess generic competencies such as creativity, computer\u00a0skills, customer focus, responsiveness, planning, organizing, problem solving,\u00a0analysis and self-management as well as people management<\/p>\n
\u25cf A valid Code\u00a0EB driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n
\u25cf Candidates will be subjected to a competency asses<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
DUTIES : The incumbent will assist with implementation of methodologies, procedures\u00a0related to the natural science analytical services<\/p>\n
\u25cf Perform under supervision\u00a0technical scientific functions and tasks that require basic interpretation in the\u00a0presence of an established framework<\/p>\n
\u25cf Assist in development of databases,\u00a0data management and subsequent analysis of accurate raw data capturing and\u00a0interpretation<\/p>\n
\u25cf Provide technical support and advice by developing working\u00a0relations with client base under supervision and promote public awareness of\u00a0scientific activities<\/p>\n
\u25cf Assist with administrative and related functions which relates\u00a0to basic equipment maintenance and compile and submit reports as required<\/p>\n
\u25cf\u00a0Participate in the prescribed mentoring programme of the department.<\/p>\n
