MANAGER SECRETARIAT SERVICES
\n(HAYBAND-N)<\/p>\n

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
\nTo provide an efficient and effective company secretariat service to the Board, its subcommittees
\nand other Governance Structures of Rand Water (\u201cRW\u201d) and to ensure compliance with governance
\nand statutory requirements.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

PRIMARY DUTIES
\n\uf0b7 Provide strategic support to the office of the Group Company Secretary
\n\uf0b7 Manage secretariat function and other secretariat activities
\n\uf0b7 Ensure that Group Secretariat Department provides an effective and efficient service to all RW entities and within the prescribed timelines
\n\uf0b7 Keep abreast and monitor the legislative developments, corporate governance standards and advice the committees on the developments
\n\uf0b7 Assist with the compilation of the departmental business plan and assist with monitoring of the\u00a0departmental budget
\n\uf0b7 Ensure that meeting packs are compiled in accordance with the prescribed process and ensure distribution of meeting packs with the prescribed timelines
\n\uf0b7 Ensure that all secretariat documents are filed in line with the RW Record Management Policies
\n\uf0b7 Maintain minute books and other statutory documents in accordance with the legal requirements and best governance practices
\n\uf0b7 Assist in managing team performance and compiling team training development plan
\n\uf0b7 Collate reports and ensure that any other documentation prepared is of good quality and in line with Group Secretariat quality standards
\n\uf0b7 Maintain continuity across the business by documenting and communicating actions, resolutions of
\nmeetings and meeting requirements
\n\uf0b7 Assist with compilation of the annual work plan, board development plan, departmental processes, arrangement of board inductions, review of board policies and the governance framework
\n\uf0b7 Ensure compliance with the applicable legislation and the governance standards within the organisation<\/p>\n

JOB REQUIREMENTS
\n\uf0b7 LLB\/CIS or equivalent company secretariat qualification
\n\uf0b7 3-4 years secretariat experience i.e. Board and committee meeting co-ordination, administration and secretariat services
\n\uf0b7 3-5 years managerial experience
\n\uf0b7 Willingness to work irregular hours as and when required<\/p>\n
