REQUIREMENTS : A relevant three year tertiary qualification in Financial Accounting or Auditing. 2
\nyears\u2019 experience in the financial accounting\/auditing environment. Knowledge
\nand understanding of the relevant legislative environment. People management
\nskills, implementation and monitoring; Analytical and proactive capabilities,
\nsound financial management skills, ability to execute activities, decision making
\nskills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and populate reports.
\nBe able to plan and organize. Professional and holds high standard of work ethic
\nand professional values. Deadline driven and able to work under pressure.
\nAccuracy and ability to pay attention to detail.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : The incumbent will be responsible for preparation of consolidated Financial
\nstatements for Gauteng Provincial Departments and Public Entities. Facilitate the
\ntabling and publishing of the Consolidated Financial Information for the GPG.
\nMonitor section 40 PFMA monthly report submissions by departments on their
\nfinance functions. Assist Provincial Departments with the preparation of their
\nInterim and Annual Financial Statements. Review of the Interim and Annual
\nFinancial Statements and provide feedback to GPG departments. Communicate
\nany new formats or Accounting standards with Departments and Public Entities,
\nand to monitor the implementation of these new formats and standards. Support
\nthe implementation of the GPG departments and entities AGSA audit action
\nplans. Ensure compliance with the PFMA, Treasury Regulations and applicable
\nAccounting standards. Undertake physical visits to the Departments and Public
\nEntities in order to provide assistance with regards to any accounting and
\nauditing related issues that have an effect on their annual financial statements
\n(e.g. proper account classification).
