{"id":17456,"date":"2014-04-17T13:00:16","date_gmt":"2014-04-17T11:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=17456"},"modified":"2014-04-22T09:30:35","modified_gmt":"2014-04-22T07:30:35","slug":"learning-development-manager-expro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/learning-development-manager-expro.html","title":{"rendered":"Learning &#038; Development Manager at Expro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Overall Purpose of the Job<\/strong><br \/>\nTo co-ordinate the learning and development function for the Sub Saharan Africa Region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principal Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain the Country Competence Assurance System.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the implementation and maintenance of the Competence Assurance System across the Region.<\/li>\n<li>Help develop and deliver training programmes to meet Competence Management System requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Focal point for Region Learning and Development.<\/li>\n<li>Focal point for all external training providers.<\/li>\n<li>Drive personnel development to meet EIO (Excellence In Operations) targets.<\/li>\n<li>Establish training program for all new field personnel and ensure compliance to it in conjunction with Country Management.<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinate delivery of training programme for all new hires.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Context and Main Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This role is to ensure all personnel are competent to perform their work to a minimum acceptable standard. The main activities are:-<\/li>\n<li>To ensure compliance with group standards of Competency &amp; Training for our personnel.<\/li>\n<li>To support the Country Manager to provide and complete competence assessment of their staff.<\/li>\n<li>To monitor assessment practice and quality assurance arrangements to meet company requirements &amp; standards.<\/li>\n<li>To liaise with operations to ensure the Learning and Development function is meeting its requirement.<\/li>\n<li>To deliver training programmes to support the Expro Competence Management programme.<\/li>\n<li>To act as the focal point for audit of Country competence system.<\/li>\n<li>To maintain an accurate competence assurance database.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure all documentation is kept up to date.<\/li>\n<li>To prepare reports and presentations on competence\/training for Country Management.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with other Region Learning and Development personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with training focal points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Decision making Authority\/Level of Supervision Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum supervision required.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate with line managers for people resources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Relationships<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Country Management:-\u00a0To work with Country management to deliver Learning &amp; Development needs for the Area.To establish competence and training requirements of staff and report on progress.<\/li>\n<li>Assessors:-\u00a0To ensure competence assessment is progressed and to an acceptable standard.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates:-\u00a0To ensure they understand the requirements for completion of portfolios.<\/li>\n<li>Competence &amp; training focal points:-\u00a0To establish common practice across the Company and assist whenever possible.<\/li>\n<li>External Training Providers:-\u00a0To ensure training is of an acceptable standard and meets company policy &amp; procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-ordinating the requirements of line management, assessors, candidates and external bodies.<\/li>\n<li>Progressing competence assessment and training under challenging operational demands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Knowledge and Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding of Expro Services and operations<\/li>\n<li>Operational \/ Operational Support Experience of two or more of our product lines at a senior level<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge and experience of Competence Assurance systems ideally within oil service industry.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent presentation and communications skills.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 &#8211; 7 years\u2019 experience in Learning &amp; Development ideally within an oil service company.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0Experience working with one or more of our product lines namely Surface Well Testing; Sub Sea Landing Strings; Wireline; Cased Hole Logging; Early Production; Fluids sampling.<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact with personnel at all levels.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/career5.successfactors.eu\/career?career_ns=job_listing&amp;company=EXPROPROD&amp;navBarLevel=JOB_SEARCH&amp;rcm_site_locale=en_GB&amp;career_job_req_id=20501&amp;selected_lang=en_GB&amp;jobAlertController_jobAlertId=&amp;jobAlertController_jobAlertName=&amp;_s.crb=HejAyjKyywXnyeTjEgDR6oTyiUk%3d\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overall Purpose of the Job To co-ordinate the learning and development function for the Sub Saharan Africa Region.
