OPERATIONAL MANAGER NURSING (PRIMARY HEALTH CARE) 2 POSTS

\nSALARY : R 376 815 (PN-B3) per annum<\/p>\n
CENTRE : Post A: Ceres Community Day Centre (1 post) and Post B: Wolseley Clinic (1 post)<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma\/degree in
\nnursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing
\nCouncil (SANC) as Professional Nurse. Post-basic qualification with duration of at least
\none year Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment Treatment and Care
\naccredited with the SANC (R48). Registration with a professional council: Registration with
\nthe SANC as Professional Nurse. Experience: A minimum of 9 years
\nappropriate\/recognisable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with
\nthe SANC in General Nursing. At least 5 years of the period referred to above must be
\nappropriate\/recognisable experience after obtaining the 1 year post-basic qualification as
\nmentioned above. Inherent requirement of the job: Valid driver\u2019s licence (Code B\/EB).
\nCompetencies (knowledge\/skills): Good interpersonal, leadership and communication
\nskills. Strong sense of responsibility. The ability to function independently in a multidisciplinary
\nteam and the ability to direct the team to ensure good nursing care.
\nDemonstrate an in depth knowledge of nursing and public service legislation. Knowledge
\nof Human resource and financial policies. Ability to effectively communicate in at least two
\nof the three official languages of the Western Cape. Computer literacy (MS Word and
\nExcel).<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Key result areas\/outputs: Manage, control and act in facet of Health, Support, Security,
\nCleaning-Infection control and Ground services. Personnel matters including Supervision
\nand Performance Management, Finances and Procuring as well as implementing of
\npolicies, prescripts and protocols regarding the mentioned facets. Management planning
\nto practice a holistic health service on a short-\/medium-\/long term basis. Render Clinical
\nservices. Organise a cost effective service on a daily basis. Ensure that all personnel
\nundergo training according their Individual Development and Performance Plan.
\nParticipate in Community involvement. Collect, verify and timeous submission of accurate
\nstatistics.<\/p>\n
