Our client in the LOGISTICS field is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of local deliveries making sure that all the deliveries of freight are carried out according to customer service levels agreements through intelligent planning.<\/p>\n

\nEnsure that the hand over from the Nightshift Manager takes place each morning
\nEnsure that priorities are identified in order to be auctioned in the day

\nCheck reports
\nEnsure that shortages are identified and recorded
\nEnsure that all inbound freight from various customers are received
\nEnsure that reports are run from the system and check it against the actual freight
\nEnsure that all freight go through the volumizer
\nEnsure that all freight are scanned and processed
\nEnsure proper planning in order to ensure that there are sufficient vehicles to transport freight
\nEnsure customers are informed of late deliveries
\nEnsure that unassigned reports are run and auctioned effectively to maintain service levels
\nEnsure that floor stocklist reports are run to ensure that freight is delivered to the right destinations
\nInvestigate unscanned freight after analysing exception report
\nEnsure that all freight go through the x-ray machine before being loaded onto trucks to ensure that no hazardous freight are loaded
\nEnsure that returns are properly manage<\/p>\n
\nDevelop an understanding of customer\u2019s needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met
\nAddress customer dissatisfaction by efficiently and satisfactorily resolving issues
\nBuild and maintain solid relationships with customers thus ensuring that RTT retains customers
\nProtect and control proprietary and customer sensitive materials and trade secrets
\nReview logistics performance with customers against targets, benchmarks and service agreement<\/p>\n
