As a Cluster HR Manager, Southern Africa, you will implement ABB people strategy through the development of the HR function, processes, systems and measures. In this role you will ensure the organization has the capabilities to deliver present and future business goals. The Cluster HR Manager is by definition representative of EC-HR on cluster level. ABB the world leader in power products and system provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, reliable and smart technologies for the distribution of electricity. \nTasks:<\/strong>
\nYou as Cluster HR Manager Southern Africa will be primarily accountable for the following:<\/p>\n
\n-Ensure the hub, South Africa HR, takes full responsibility for HR in the Southern Africa cluster.
\n-Supports cluster countries and develops relationship with the Country Managers to effectively manage HR function.
\n-Supports and develops relationships with the Local Divisional Managers that are responsible for the Cluster.
\n-Ensures People strategy is developed and implemented throughout. Participates at business reviews.<\/p>\n
\n-Is responsible to comply with local legislation.
\n-For South Africa develops relevant strategies and programmes for BBBEE and diversified workforce. Engages business in the formation of such programmes in line with the employment equity legislation.<\/p>\n
\n-Drives the talent management and interaction between Management and young talent to ensure the best young talent is attracted to ABB and retained.<\/p>\n
\n-Establish proper channels to communicate effectively with top management as well as employees.
\n-Find innovative ways how to get information across and simplify HR in ABB<\/p>\n
\n-Develops operational excellence in HR delivery through consistent application of Group and Country HR policies, processes and procedures.
\n-Aligns HR processes with Group Directives. Measures HR performance through establishing and monitoring agreed KPIs.
\n-Manages HR function to agreed targets. Develops HR function to align with the Group organization model.
\n-Ensures HR function is developing capability to support BU\u2019s and Divisions as Business partner.
\n-Manages HR to comply with country legislation. Manages HR implementation of Group change programmes.
\n-Acts as a HR Business Partner for Cluster Manager in people issues and is part of the Country Management Team.<\/p>\n
\n-Monitor and review the center’s performance delivery within the allocated budgets periodically in alignment with OsA guidelines.
\n-This HR Centre is exceptional in that it is providing a service across a number of different countries \u2013based on the OsA guidelines
\nImplementation of HR Group Tools<\/p>\n
\n-Monitors and supports development of country remuneration strategy. Aligns country organization with group reward structures \u2013 Global grading
\n-Implements and aligns the group scorecard process. Monitors medical & life insurance performance and improvement needs<\/p>\n
\n-Ensures the defined procedures in line with group standards eg. SOX, OsA, OHS are drawn and adhered to.
\n-Ensure implementation of systems and processes, set guidelines for effectively processing labor law requirements and policies.<\/p>\n
\n-Responsibility to ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized and staffed. Sets, monitors and reviews goals for the team. -Guide, monitor and train the team for achieving the objectives.<\/p>\n
\nYour University degree in Human Resources \/ or 5+ years\u2019 experience in Human Resource Management function with extensive functional knowledge and experience would be ideal. Your earlier experience as head of HR function in a medium to large organization along with sound knowledge of local laws and cultural sensitivity would make you an ideal candidate for the position.
\nYour past record in leading change and delivery of results would be preferred.<\/p>\n
