Position Description<\/strong> <\/p>\n Position Requirements<\/strong> Complete report writing in a accurate and timely fashion using Energy report format, loss estimation methods and software and Energy risk rating tools. 5-10y of experience within the mining industry.<\/p>\n Metallurgical, Mining, Mechanical or electrical engineer (Bachelor or Master) with production experience. <\/p>\n
\nThe engineer would be mainly working for UK & Africa accounts and service locations mostly in Africa and Middle East, where most of insured plants are located.
\nGrowing portfolio with high demand on engineering<\/p>\n
\nUnder general direction, surveys assigned risks within specialty of engineer. Perform site surveys, auditing all departments as required by Energy guidelines (production, maintenance, inspection, safety, \u2026). Present audit results to site management focusing on the Risk analysis and recommendations to insured, decision-making processes and conclusions<\/p>\n
\nProvide technical assistance to local underwriters.
\nStay technically versed in loss prevention topics specific to the industry being audited.
\nAssist claims by providing technical advice on open claims.
\nGood presentation skills and good ability to deal with senior and middle management at all sites.<\/p>\n
\nKnowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures and techniques
\nGood technical engineering background but still basic loss prevention skills.
\nBasic insurance understanding
\nGood communication & interpersonal skills
\nUniversity Degree would be preferred
\nLanguage skills : fluent in English and eventually French, any other language is a valuable asset.
\nWilling to travel up to 80 days\/year. Be flexible in terms of working hours and working days as travel plans may require to leave on weekend<\/p>\n
