\n\uf0b7 Ensure routine measurements pertaining to the ventilation standards and regulations are performed
\n\uf0b7 Co-ordinate the operational control of the Occupational Health Centre and medical surveillance programme
\n\uf0b7 Organise sampling of general atmosphere (air quality surveys) and underground water
\n\uf0b7 Perform quarterly checks on underground fire-fighting equipment, interpret results and make recommendations
\n\uf0b7 Update Legal emergency plans
\n\uf0b7 Draw up layouts on auxiliary ventilation changeovers
\n\uf0b7 Responsible for calibration of measuring instruments
\n\uf0b7 Manage and control subordinates
\n\uf0b7 Review and revise Codes of Practice
\n\uf0b7 Participate in cost saving initiatives
\n\uf0b7 Responsible for long and short term planning with regard to ventilation requirements
\n\uf0b7 Maintain and enforce the Mine\u2019s Codes of Practice, Standards, Procedures and report any observations of this not being done
\n\uf0b7 Ensure personal and co-workers\u2019 adherence and compliance to Security and Company\u2019s SHE objectives<\/p>\n
\n\uf0b7 Grade 12 with Maths and Science
\n\uf0b7 Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
\n\uf0b7 Valid Drivers\u2019 License (EB\/Code 08)
\n\uf0b7 Minimum of 5 years relevant underground experience
\n\uf0b7 PC Literate in MS Office Suite and Windows System<\/p>\n
\n\uf0b7 Independent, proactive thinker, self-starter and have the ability to do own job planning
\n\uf0b7 Able to work in a team
\n\uf0b7 Good verbal and written communication skills in English
\n\uf0b7 Good interpersonal skills<\/p>\n
