REQUIREMENTS : Matric Certificate or National Certificate (Vocational), A Bachelor\u2019s Degree in
\nSocial Work; Registration with the South African Council for Social Service
\nProfessions as Social Worker; plus a minimum of 7 years appropriate experience
\nin social work after registration as Social Worker with SACSSP. Valid driver\u2019s
\nlicense Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Public Service; Knowledge of
\npolicy analysis and development; Public Service Regulations; Labour Relations
\nAct, Child Justice Act, Criminal Procedure Act, Probation Services Act as
\namended, Sexual Offenses Act, Prevention and Treatment of Drug Dependency
\nAct, National Drug Master Plan, Children\u2019s Act and relevant Regulations; Public
\nService Act; Interpretation of Statute; Administrative Law; Research
\nMethodology; Financial Regulations and Public Finance Management
\nAct(PFMA); Organization behavior analysis; Strategic business management.
\nSkills: Project Management; Planning and organizing; Networking;
\nCommunication (written and verbal); Professional counseling; Policy Analysis

DUTIES : Assist in the establishment of Reception, Assessment and Referral Centres.
\nMonitor and evaluate Assessment and Referral Centres. Ensure funding of nongovernmental
\norganizations rendering services in terms of social crime
\nprevention. Monitor services rendered by non-governmental organizations.
\nEvaluate services provided by non-governmental organizations. Assist in the
\nestablishment of Local Drug Action Committee. Assist in the preparation of
\nservice level agreement files. Funding of non \u2013profit organization. Monitoring of
\nnon-governmental organization providing services in terms of substance abuse.
\nEvaluate services rendered by organizations providing substance abuse
\nprogramme. Assist in the establishment of Local Victim Empowerment Forums.
\nFunding of non-profit organization rendering services in the field of victim
\nempowerment. Monitor services rendered by nonprofit organization providing
\nservices in Victim Empowerment Programme.<\/p>\n
