{"id":17832,"date":"2014-05-23T14:32:36","date_gmt":"2014-05-23T12:32:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=17832"},"modified":"2014-05-23T14:32:36","modified_gmt":"2014-05-23T12:32:36","slug":"jse-junior-risk-analyst-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/jse-junior-risk-analyst-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"JSE: Junior Risk Analyst Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Degree in Investments,<br \/>\nRisk Management,<br \/>\nMathematics or other relevant discipline from an accredited school is required<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Solid mathematical understanding of basic financial instruments<br \/>\nVery good understanding of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)<br \/>\nExperience with VBA and SQL tools will be an advantage<br \/>\nStrong analytical experience and or background<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collection and capturing of trade data from various service providers.<\/li>\n<li>Processing of market and trade data<\/li>\n<li>Perform routine data management, such as data clean-up and data integrity checks.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the risk process and risk analysis for the Nautilus Business. Including mandate limits and the application of mandate limits to trading portfolios.<\/li>\n<li>Producing daily reports for all funds on the platform and distributing reports to clients and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Escalating mandate breaches to the Risk Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to basic level queries received from clients or service providers, escalating queries when applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with IT and 3rd party service providers with regards to business requirements and risk systems.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with testing and implementation of systems and valuation models.<\/li>\n<li>Foster a broad understanding of business and technologies relevant to the Nautilus business and business strategies<\/li>\n<li>Understand the regulatory environment in which Nautilus operates. Keep up to date with changes and new regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A strong understanding and application of mathematics.<\/li>\n<li>All risk processes and calculations requires working with numbers, interest rates, time value of money, data skews and curves, corporate actions and assumptions.<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of financial Instruments.<\/li>\n<li>The risk process will require constant pricing and modelling of various financial instruments.<\/li>\n<li>The financial markets are ever evolving and updates, changes or new products is part of day to day business.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate ability to think in terms of business outcomes \/ results<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate ability to remain calm and focused under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, external business and vendors<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility to work in a changing, fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong affinity for numeracy and calculations<\/li>\n<li>Possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency<\/li>\n<li>Possess a high level of energy and enthusiasm<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function in a very complex and often highly charged environment<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Flexibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jse.graduate.erecruit.co.za\/candidateapp\/Jobs\/View\/150414-2\/Junior_Risk_Analyst\">Click here to apply online<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Location: Sandton<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Qualification Degree in Investments, Risk Management, Mathematics or other relevant discipline from an accredited school is required &nbsp;
