{"id":18074,"date":"2014-06-12T13:10:48","date_gmt":"2014-06-12T11:10:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=18074"},"modified":"2014-06-12T13:10:48","modified_gmt":"2014-06-12T11:10:48","slug":"media-manager-opportunity-etv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/media-manager-opportunity-etv.html","title":{"rendered":"Media Manager Opportunity at eTV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Reporting to the Line Manager eNCA, your key performance areas will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Facilitating the process of selecting news footage worth archiving, according to editorial input<\/p>\n<p>Moving video from the News production area of Dalet to the \u201cMedia Manager Preparation Area\u201d (MMPA)<\/p>\n<p>Confirming that aired video from previous day\u2019s bulletins has been transferred from the respective Aired Stories folders for each bulletin to MMPA<\/p>\n<p>Deleting of all video from the Aired Stories folder that is not deemed as \u201carchivable\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Deleting video links from previous day\u2019s rundown templates for each bulletin aired<\/p>\n<p>Preparing the video for Audio-Visual Archivists to archive permanently on Dalet<\/p>\n<p>Selecting video clips worth archiving from the Aired folders and moving it to \u201cMedia Manager Preparation Area\u201d (MMPA)<\/p>\n<p>Selecting video feeds worth archiving from the Line Feeds folders and its subcategories i.e. incoming feeds &amp; Reuters and P2 folders, and moving it to the \u201cMedia Manager Preparation Area\u201d (MMPA) for reviewing and archiving by Archivists.<\/p>\n<p>Moving scripts from the Rundowns folder to their subcategories folders<\/p>\n<p>Monitoring the Dalet consistently in terms of storage space for videos on the news production server<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 3 years broadcast experience<\/li>\n<li>Editorially astute<\/li>\n<li>Technologically proficient, or a very fast learner<\/li>\n<li>Methodical, with keen attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Decisive attitude<\/li>\n<li>Deadline driven and willing to work long hours and on weekends if required so<\/li>\n<li>Self starter, with initiative<\/li>\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 20 June 2014.<br \/>\nIf you possess the criteria and qualifications as stated, please send your application form together with a detailed CV to the HR Department at jobs@enca.com<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted applicants who meet the criteria will be contacted.
