REQUIREMENTS: Applicants who are in possession of a South African LLB degree, which includes
\nat least the following courses: Law of Evidence, Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and
\nInterpretation of Statutes can apply. Final year law students with the courses listed above may apply
\nprovided they would have completed the degree by 1 February 2015. The programme will commence
\non 1 February 2015. A written contract between the National Prosecuting Authority and the Trainee
\nProsecutor outlining the conditions of service must be entered into and such contract will be valid and
\nbinding between the parties. The successful completion of an entry examination may form part of the
\nselection process.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
DUTIES: The Prosecutors\u2019 primary function is to conduct prosecutions and attend to matters
\nincidental thereto. Prosecutors are the gatekeeper of criminal law. They represent public interest
\nin the criminal justice process. When carrying out their duties, Prosecutors should at all times
\ncomply with the Code of Conduct and observe policy directives as provided for in the National
\nProsecuting Authority Act, 32 of 1998.<\/p>\n

\nexamination and be trained. Applicants may only apply to one of the training centres. Applications must be submitted
\non a Z.83, obtainable from any Public Service Department, or www.npa.gov.za and must be completed in full and
\naccompanied by a comprehensive curriculum vitae, certified copies of qualifications and identity document (Failure
\nto comply with these requirements, will result in the application being disqualified). Ensure that the correct recruitment
\nnumber is used. All applications must reach the NPA by the closing date. Late applications will not be accepted. The
