Your role will include the collection, interpretation and mapping of all geological data in order to direct with grade control and assist mine planning.<\/p>\n<p>You will be in charge of directing and controlling the Grade Control teams to support the mining operation.<\/p>\n<p>Demonstrate a record of delivering outstanding results by involving and motivating the respective team members to strive for high work standards of performance, teamwork and cooperation and ensuring customer satisfaction to all stakeholders.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Hons Degree Geology<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 At least 3 to 5 years relevant supervisory experience in Grade Control and\/or Geology<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Microsoft Office Package, SAP and Planning\/Geological modelling competencies<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Medically fit<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Areas<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Coordinate processing of drill core including logging, sampling and data processing.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Assist with logging and sampling of borehole core and capturing of relevant data.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Conduct face mapping and load information into software<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Interpret geological face mapping information and notify Mine Planning about the upcoming geological conditions so that appropriate actions can be taken<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Provide geological information, guidance and support to Mining operational personnel<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Construct and interpret a geological plan and cross-section in a mining area in order to inform the monthly Planning report<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Provide Grade Control\u00a0 information, guidance and support to Mining operational personnel<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Conduct Grade Control investigations<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Manage, control and direct Grade Control department<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies: (some of the competencies)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Leadership, Vision and Credibility<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Teamwork and cooperation<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Building and Maintaining relationships<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Communication Skills<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Flexibility<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Attention To Detail<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Assertiveness and Action Orientation<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Cross Functional Awareness<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Objective Setting and Control<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Commercial Awareness<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Accountability<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Judgement<\/p>\n<p>Please forward your CV (max 3 pages) to: mailto:<strong> Johannes.douberendt@bhpbilliton.com <\/strong>or fax 053 7422856.
