\nSALARY : R532 278 per annum. This all-inclusive remuneration package consists of a basic\u00a0salary, the State\u2019s contribution to the Government Employees Pension Fund and\u00a0a flexible portion that may be structured in terms of the applicable rules.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must be in possession of an NQF6 qualification in Human Resources,
\nPubic Service labour relations, Public Administration and Management or Labour
\nLaw; At least 3 \u2013 5 years experience in investigating labour related matters
\nincluding misconduct cases and representing employer(s) in disciplinary
\nproceedings; A valid driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel. Competencies:
\nKnowledge of the Public Service and Administration prescripts, including the
\ndisciplinary code and procedures; Proficiency in legal processes including
\nconducting investigation of grievances or representing the employer in
\ndisciplinary hearings, and drafting notices of disciplinary hearings and report
\nwriting skills; Forensic investigative skills or investigative research skills; Strategic
\ncapability and leadership skills; People management and empowerment; Client
\norientation and customer focus; Good interpersonal skills; Good written and oral
\ncommunication skills; Project management skills; Knowledge in conflict resolution
\nskills (negotiation, mediation, conciliation and arbitration); Knowledge of and skills
\nin financial management and budgeting; Ability to perform independently and
\nwithout constant supervision; Knowledge of the Persal system.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Conduct investigations and gather information on allegations into labour related
\nmatters including grievances and misconduct cases as directed by the Human
\nResources Branch management for line functions including Missions abroad;
\nPlan, organise and co-ordinate operational activities prior to and during grievance
\nand discipline investigations an draft appropriate reports, memoranda and project
\nplan, pertinent to the labour relations cases investigation; Draft notices of
\ndisciplinary hearings and prepare witnesses for the disciplinary hearings; Present
\nand assist other departmental representatives to state the Department\u2019s cases
\nduring hearings; Monitor, evaluate internal investigation procedures on grievance
\nand disciplinary cases and then contribute to the Department\u2019s regular reports on
\ncompliance with labour relations prescripts; Implement strategic, dynamic and
\nproactive labour relations programmes and assist in production of internal policies
\non latest developments initiate review existing policies; Guide and coach other
\ninvestigators and departmental representatives during the investigations and<\/p>\n
