The purpose of your role is to be accountable for the development and execution of local strategy and systems in line with the organisation’s values, policies, procedures, mandates and country legislation. The incumbent will also be responsible to provide specialised services to the Operations that are aggregated at this level, and ensure compliance with South African legislation addressing community development and transformation.\u00a0 The role liaises with relevant regulatory authorities and coordinates internal communication and external stakeholder management. There will be reporting on matters in line with Group Company and applicable country legislation. Leading a highly skilled, specialist team and to manage and deliver large-scale, discipline diverse projects.<\/p>\n
Serious contenders will have relevant Mining related tertiary qualification with 10 years relevant experience on Operational and Asset level, of which 3 years must be at a senior management level. \u00a0Candidates having an advanced business \/ finance related degree (MBA) will be desirable in this role; as well as experience in South African mining industry is essential.\u00a0 Understanding of the nature of opportunities and issues faced by operations; ability to identify and assess key investment risk factors and project execution problems at an early stage is a requirement together with a proven ability to demonstrate influence, negotiation, strategic skills and drive for results.<\/p>\n
