\nDirectorate: Agriculture Inputs Control
\nSALARY : R227 802 per annum
\nCENTRE : Bloemfontein (Free State) (3 Posts) and (KwaZulu-Natal) (1 Post)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must be in possession of a National diploma\/degree in Agriculture
\nwith Animal Nutrition, Animal Health, Plant Pathology and\/or Crop Production as
\na major subject(s) (you are required to furnish a credit certificate and\/or
\nstatement of results). Knowledge of and experience in factory inspections and
\nagricultural law enforcement. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
\n(GMP) and application of the Criminal Procedure Act, 1977 (Act 51 of 1977) and
\nthe Fertilizer, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act, 1947
\n(Act 36 of 1947). Ability to participate in team projects and have a positive
\nattitude towards the inspections and application of relevant legislation. Good
\ncommunication (written and verbal) skills. Computer skills in MS Office software.
\nA valid driver\u2019s licence and the ability to drive. Willingness to travel and be away
\nfrom home in the execution of duties.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : The incumbent will be responsible for law enforcement in terms of the applicable
\nActs, in conjunction with the Department of Justice and Constitutional
\nDevelopment (DoJCD) within the Framework and in line with the strategic goals
\nof the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF). Carry out
\neffective and efficient routine inspections and create awareness of the Fertilizer,
\nFarm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act, 1947. Take
\nsamples, statements and other evidence material to compile a case docket
\naccording to the prescripts of the Act(s). Investigate offences of the Act, attend
\ncourt cases, present evidence and demonstrate a sound knowledge of GMP
\npractices. Effective control over exhibits in terms of the Criminal Procedure Act,
\n1977. Attend meetings, training sessions and discussions with clients and State
\nProsecutors. Assist and train sub-ordinates in the execution of their duties.
