Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Risk Management<\/span><\/p>\n Assist in monitoring the implementation of recommendations in the Audit Tracking Report and Strategic and Operational Risk Registers by:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Internal Audit<\/span><\/p>\n Shadow the Internal Audit Champion from the Audit, Risk & Governance (ARG) team. Follow the Champion’s guidance and learn on the job.<\/p>\n Once enough experience has been gained, execute the Champion’s duties on an internal audit, guided by the Compliance Officer.<\/p>\n Governance & Admin<\/span><\/p>\n Assist in the ARG team in the following:<\/p>\n Preparation for the Risk Management Committee and Audit & Risk Committee meetings quarterly.<\/p>\n Compilation of reports, as far as possible.<\/p>\n Overseeing the Inventory Management process led by the ARG team.<\/p>\n Initiate awareness initiatives for the Fraud Risk Management process.<\/p>\n Coordinating the Fraud Prevention Committee.<\/p>\n Monitoring the implementation of the Fraud implementation Plan.<\/p>\n The review and implementation of the Business Continuity Plan.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n Knowledge of and skill in applying risk management principles and practices.<\/p>\n Knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors.<\/p>\n Knowledge of the COSO Framework, Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA), its Code of Ethics and principles.<\/p>\n Skill in conducting quality control reviews on work performed.<\/p>\n Skill in collecting and analysing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.<\/p>\n Skill in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.<\/p>\n Skill in negotiating issues and resolving challenges.<\/p>\n Skill in using a computer with MS Office (word processing, spreadsheet and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries and analyses etc.)<\/p>\n Skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting reports.<\/p>\n Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and other stakeholders, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.<\/p>\n Ability to adapt to change.<\/p>\n Ability to learn on the job and maximise the opportunity afforded.<\/p>\n Ability to be a team player and work independently where required.<\/p>\n Ability in having the initiative to start a task pro-actively.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n A Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management.<\/p>\n The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:<\/p>\n Ability<\/span><\/p>\n analyse and interpret risk\/reward profiles<\/p>\n assist in directing compliance goals<\/p>\n attain established compliance goals as directed by senior management<\/p>\n Ensure adherence and compliance to internal risk controls<\/p>\n Provide assistance to management in providing analyses, appraisals, recommendations and advice in governing processes and sysystems<\/p>\n Planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.<\/p>\n Conduct quality control reviews<\/p>\n Knowledge<\/span><\/p>\n government instituted laws<\/p>\n Appicants may apply online and attach their CV’s with the required supporting documents or submit a detailed CV, certified copies of certificates, transcripts, identity document and a cover letter to the GPL (Ten Sixty Six Building, 12th Floor.
