\n\u00b7 their tuition , ensuring that they use blended and e-leaning approaches, and their formative and summative assessment of students
\n\u00b7 project management support for implementing the Framework for a Team Approach in order to enhance their teaching and learning of students to improve the achievements of students and throughput in the College<\/p>\n
\nMinimum qualification: an appropriate Masters degree, NQF9, preferably in Education, Science Education, Educational Planning, Curriculum Planning, Educational Technology and Instructional design
\n5 years\u2019 experience in Higher Education
\n3 years\u2019 experience in aspects related to distance teaching and learning<\/p>\n
\n\u00a7 Open Distance Learning (ODL)-theories and research
\n\u00a7 ODL delivery system design
\n\u00a7 South African Higher Education and Training legislation and policies
\n\u00a7 South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)
\n\u00a7 Global trends in adult learning principles and methodologies
\n\u00a7 Curriculum development
\n\u00a7 Materials design and development
\n\u00a7 Instructional design \/learning development\/development of learning experiences and environment
\n\u00a7 New educational and communication technologies
\n\u00a7 CHE\/HEQC quality management system
\n\u00a7 Application of technology to teaching and learning
\n\u00a7 Various delivery method and blended learning solutions
\n\u00a7 Quality assurance in Higher Education
\n\u00a7 Education practices and curriculum and learning theory
\n\u00a7 Subject related policies, practices and trends<\/p>\n
\n\u00a7 Advises and assists academics in the Colleges and colleagues who need training and guidance with regard to the evaluation, development and accreditation of curricula according to the Programme Qualification Mix (PQM)
\nDesign and development of academic programmes, modules and study material within the Open Distance Learning (ODL) context according to the guidelines provided in the Higher Education Qualification Framework (HEQF)and those of South African Qualification of Authority (SAQA) and the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET)
\n\u00a7 Provides guidance with the design\/redesign of programme\/modules to ensure coherence of learning and achievement of outcomes
\n\u00a7 Advises academics and colleagues on how to implement quality assurance procedures and monitoring systems to deliver quality tuition
\n\u00a7 Keeps abreast with the latest theories and research findings in ODL in order to advise and assist academics and colleagues regarding best practices in Curriculum design development
\n\u00a7 Develops competencies that will contribute to the enhancement of tuition and learning
\n\u00a7 Serves on the committees and task teams in the Directorate, Departments and the University<\/p>\n
\nSalary: Remuneration is commensurate with the seniority of the position
