\nComponent: Budget Revenue and Expenditure and Monitoring and Reporting (5 positions), Cape Town
\nDepartment: Department of Transport and Public Works

\nTo provide an integrated, effective and efficient budget planning system in respect of revenue and expenditure.<\/p>\n
\nRequirements:
\n\u2022 A suitable and recognised B-degree (or equivalent qualification) – NQF 6;
\n\u2022 A minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a management accounting\/ financial accounting environment.<\/p>\n
\nRecommendations
\n\u2022 Experience in a Management Accounting field.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Budget planning and preparation for a Programme;
\n\u2022 Budget monitoring and reporting on expenditure for a Programme;
\n\u2022 Adjustments Estimate for the Programme;
\n\u2022 Annual financial statements.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Knowledge of the following:
\no National, Provincial and Departmental policies, prescripts and practices regarding financial matters, especially the Public Finance Management Act;
\no Budget Management, compilation and reporting procedures;
\no Policy formulation and the ability to interpret and apply policy;
\n\u2022 Working knowledge of BAS (Basic Accounting System) and PERSAL;
\n\u2022 Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills; in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape
\n\u2022 Advanced computer literacy especially in Excel;
\n\u2022 Report writing and formulation skills;
\n\u2022 Problem solving and analytical skills.
