\n(One (1) year contract appointment)
\nSALARY : R183 438 per annum (plus 37% in lieu of benefits).The successful candidates will
\nbe required to sign a performance agreement.
\nCENTRE : High Court: Polokwane<\/p>\n

REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 with Secretarial Diploma or equivalent qualification; Short listed
\ncandidates will be required to pass a typing test. Recommendation: A valid
\ndriver\u2019s license. Additional requirements: A four year recognized qualification or
\na minimum of 20 modules completed towards an LLB Degree, BA or BCom Law
\nDegree (Results must be attached as proof) Proficiency in English and Afrikaans;
\nLaw related experience. Skills and competencies: Computer literacy (MS Office);
\nGood communication skills (written and verbal); Administration and organization
\nskills; Research Capabilities.<\/p>\n

DUTIES : Type (or format) draft memorandum decision, opinions or judgement entries
\nwritten by assigned Judge, administrator or staff attorney and modifies or
\ncorrects same as directed (including dicta typing); Arrange and diarize
\nappointments, meetings, official visits, and make travel and accommodation
\narrangements, etc Safeguarding of all case files and the endorsement of case
\nfiles with order made by Judge, Provide general secretarial\/administrative duties
\nto the Judge, Update files , documents and provide copies of documents to the
\nRegistrar Accompany the Judge to Court and circuit Courts as well, After a case
\nhas been completed and opinion, decision or judgemnet entry released, returns
\ncase file to administration for returns to clerk\u2019s office. Reviews file before
\nreturning it to administration to make sure it is complete and that there is nothing
\nin the file that does not belong there, such as Judge\u2019s notes, interoffice
\nmemoranda, etc; Management of judge\u2019s vehicle, logbook and the driving
\nthereof, Compile data and prepares reports and documents for assigned judges
\nas necessary, including expense reports, continuing legal hours, financial
\ndisclosure statements, and case management; Responsible for maintaining,
\nupdating and implementing the court\u2019s public records retention schedule with
\nrespect to all records kept by the court, Arrives at work on time and is present
\nduring working hours, cooperates with Judges, supervisors and co-workers as
\nnecessary to insure the smooth and efficient operation of the court; Performs
\nother duties as requested by the Judges, or Court sdministrator, Arrange
\nreceptions for the Judge and his visitors and attend to their needs; Manage of
\nJudge\u2019s Library and updating of loose leaf publications; Any other task for or
\nallocated by the Judge; Comply with Departmental Policies and Prescripts.<\/p>\n
