The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Foreman (Mechanical division)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ref. no.: SSP\/Artisan 8\/2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintaining machinery and equipment on the site per required standard.<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to Planned and Preventative maintenance schedules<\/li>\n<li>Improving OEE (overall equipment efficiency) on all production lines.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce unplanned downtime<\/li>\n<li>Health and Safety supervision of machinery, equipment and working environment<\/li>\n<li>Compliance to OHS Act.<\/li>\n<li>Provide an effective Engineering service to the Production department<\/li>\n<li>Perform administrative tasks (job cards, quality check sheets, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Perform stand-in duties<\/li>\n<li>Leading and supervising people<\/li>\n<li>Participate in Mini business activities and practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate must have the following experience\/skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>N3-N6 equivalent with Trade Certificate &#8211; Fitter and \/ or Turner, Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Grade 12 or Mechanical\/Electrical NTC3 qualification.<\/li>\n<li>Full N2 trade theory completed<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a high speed, high-tech bottling operation will be advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Completed apprenticeship with recognized Institution i.e. was registered as an apprentice<\/li>\n<li>More than 5 years relevant practical experience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and display good attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability in problem solving and knowledge of the various problem solving methods<\/li>\n<li>Must be self-motivated, innovative and able to work without or limited supervision<\/li>\n<li>To reflect good leadership behaviour &#8211; towards colleagues, superior and company values<\/li>\n<li>Must be willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Closing Date: 2014\/08\/15<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"color: #223766;\" href=\"https:\/\/careers.distell.co.za\/careers\/viewvacancy.aspx?vacid=2270\" target=\"_new\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Click Here to Apply<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Applications are invited for the above mentioned position (Grade 8) to be based at Secondary production, Springs.
